Hello, Posh Planters (paper smooches)

Hello. Today I have a couple samples using Paper Smooches‘ new earthy/hippie Posh Planters and new Hallow Hello die. (I have additional samples using Posh Planters here (my daughter’s favorite) and here.)

Paper Smooches Posh Planters/Icons dies and Hot Dot stencil

I created a background first by taping off a rectangle in the center of my card front. I then taped Hot Dot stencil in place and blended yellow to darker orange inks.

Copic markers – E13, E15, E18, G24, G40, G43, R32, RV42

The image was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copic markers and die-cut using Posh Planters Icons die. I adhered the planter over the dots using foam squares then added strips of black/white trim. To adhere the trim, I applied two 1/8″ wide strips of double-sided tape then firmly pressed the trim in place, trimming the ends afterwards.

Paper Smooches Hallow Hello die set

My Hallow Hello card was super quick and easy. I first blended a block of card stock using peach to orange inks then die-cut the Hello sentiment three times.

The tiny flowers are part of the Hallow Hello die set as well. I die-cut several from the various shades of ink and adhered a super sparkly white Petite Posie in the center of each.

You Had Me at Aloe

Aloe everyone! 🙂 I’ve been away for a while and feel like it’s been ages since I typed a blog post. I hope you are all enjoying your summer.

Today I’m using new Posh Planters with coordinating Posh Planters Icons dies by Paper Smooches. I adore this set as it has a southwest theme, which I love. ♥

Paper Smooches Posh Planters

I first created a window by die-cutting a square from a block of card stock cut slightly smaller than my card front. After determining placement of the mug, I stamped the cute sentiment with Tuxedo Black ink. I adhered this panel to my card front using foam tape, tucking a blue sky block behind the window. I adhered clouds, placing one just beneath the edge of the opening.

Copic markers – B23, B24, C2, E70, E71, E74, E77, G09, RV95, V91, V93, V95, Y17, Y19, YG03, YG06, YG09, YR15

I colored the mug with Copic markers (listed above) then die-cut and popped up on foam squares. I layered two triangles of green card stock and adhered beneath the mug. (Credit for the folded “cloth” goes to my very creative friend Amy Rohl.)

Paper Smooches’ New Cacti Dies

Hi everyone! Have you seen Paper Smooches‘ latest release? I’ve been chomping at the bit to share my samples using the new stamps and dies. Today I have two cards to share using new Cacti dies. Those who know me, know that I love Arizona. I couldn’t wait to create with this set!

Paper Smooches Cacti dies

The set includes dies to create a few different types of cacti including pots, needles, blossoms and more. I opted for a Prickly Pear and Barrell here.

Copic markers – RV17, V05, Y17, YG03

I sponged a bit of green ink around the edges of the cacti to add definition. The buds and blossoms were colored with Copic markers then adhered using Ranger Multi Medium Matte and a Quick Stik tool. (I highly recommend the Quick Stik tool for picking up and placing those tiny pieces.) The sentiment was stamped from Eco Friendly. I thought it coordinated perfectly. I adhered the bases of the cacti to the paper and used foam squares beneath the upper edges to add a bit of dimension. I finished off the flower by adhering an orange Jelly Gem from Queen & Company.

Next I created a card that is a bit more masculine. Do the flowers make it less masculine? Hmmm… I think it’s ok.

I blended a bit darker green around the edges here and used a Mermaid Lagoon blended background.

Paper Smooches August 2019 Blog Hop

Paper Smooches Posh Planters

I used new Posh Planters (SO cute), Posh Planters Icons dies and new Hot Dot Stencil.

Copic markers – BG10, BG11, C00, C1, C5, C7, C9, G09, G28, Y17, Y38, YG03, YG05, YG09, YR04, YR18

I first blended a row of green dots using new Hot Dot Stencil then stamped and colored the planter, die-cut and adhered over the dots with foam squares. (Small heart on the license plate is from Critter Card Puns.) All markers used are listed above. The sentiment is popped up on foam squares as well. Once assembled, I added Glossy Accents to random green dots and the headlights.

Hello crafty friends! Thanks so much for stopping by today. I appreciate each and every peek. 🙂

Today I’m sharing a card using product from Paper Smooches‘ July release. You can see all of the latest stamps and dies here. I’ve used Pattern Builder dies, Inverted Greetings and Patternology stamp sets.

I simply taped the various dies in place, one at a time, and die-cut with my Big Shot. Once all the rows were cut, I used various strips of scrap card stock behind the openings. The pink dots were stamped from Patternology, using my MISTI to ensure even coverage. I don’t know how I ever stamped without my MISTI. It is by far my most beloved tool. The Hello block was stamped in green ink then trimmed and popped up on foam squares. Pretty quick and easy. 🙂

Hello everyone! I hope your weekend was pleasant. It has been some kind of hot here (as in over 100). And humid. Yuck. So terribly nasty. I can’t wait for our typical three days of fall. Haha. Virginia weather is crazy.

My card today features some fun new stamps and dies now available from Paper Smooches. New Health Dies includes two ribbons, a bandaid, a rectangle to place atop the bandaid for added dimension, and a small heart.

The sentiment, stamped in black onto white card stock, is from new Inverted Greetings, a set of 14 sentiments and two accents, covering many different occasions. To pop the sentiment, I used foam squares beneath.

You Rock (paper smooches)

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card using two new stencils and a new die now available from Paper Smooches. (This is my favorite of the samples I created.)

I first die-cut the You Rock die from black cardstock. I then used the Patterns stencil to blend in the rainbow lines. I created the top line first then used the sentiment to determine placement of the bottom line. Once the blending was complete, I adhered the sentiment in place.

I added a small star using Starry stencil and added a sprinkling of Jelly Gems (links below). I really like how this one turned out. And it was quick and easy so that’s a bonus. 🙂

I used new Inhale Exhale (sentiments) and Patternology (hearts and lines).

After stamping the hearts, I added white dot detail using a Kirarina Wink White Pearl pen then topping some of the hearts with Glossy Accents. The heart panel is cut a little smaller than the card front and popped up on foam squares.

Hello friends! Today I have a fun card to share using several dies from Paper Smooches‘ latest release with a bit from a perfectly coordinating older stamp set.

Paper Smooches Vespa and Sunnyville

I’ve used new Vespa die with the flower and flag from older stamp set, Spiffy Scooter. There are lots of coordinating stamps in the set for creating patterns, large and small “exhaust” clouds, sentiments, etc. It’s really cute. 🙂

Copic markers – RV66, V01, V12, Y18, Y19

I also included the adorable sun with smiley face from new Sunnyville stamp set. Once stamped and colored, I die-cut the sun with the coordinating Sunnyville Icons die and popped it up on a foam square.

Today is a New Day (paper smooches)

Hello everyone. Today I’m sharing another card using some of the latest products available from Paper Smooches. (You can find my preview posts using new Paper Smooches HERE and HERE.)

I combined Cuppa Sunshine dies with Mini Clouds dies and a sentiment from Sunnyville stamp set. The little eyelashes and smile are also from Sunnyville. Aren’t they cute? 🙂

I cut a thin frame by die-cutting a large square then centering and taping a slightly smaller square die over the larger square and die-cutting again. To add a bit of texture, I zigzag stitched a bit on three sides.
