Warm Wishes (stamping bella)

Hi everyone!  A couple weeks ago I featured Stamping Bella‘s August Stamp of the Month, Uptown Seal of Approval, on sale through 8/30 at 25% off. (You can see my card HERE.)  This week we’re using other sets from that same category – Mr. Postie.

Christmas Spirit Envelope Accents includes five small holiday images. They’re perfect for planners, envelopes and tags! I chose to use the tiny mittens on a card. After stamping onto Blending Card, I colored with markers, cut out the image and adhered to a stitched square using foam squares. Before adhering, I blended a bit of a blue background.

Once the mittens were in place, I knotted a length of white string on each end and adhered the knots to opposite corners of the mittens using Ranger’s Multi Medium Matte with a small, no-clog tip attached to the bottle. I used the same adhesive to attach a sprinkling of Snowflakes.  With the tip added to the bottle, it’s easy to apply the adhesive to small areas without making a mess.  I matted the mitten panel onto a block of Pretty Presents patterned paper then the card front, and stamped my Holiday Sentiment beneath.

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Use the following photo as inspiration.

If you’d like, email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog. By doing so, you’ll also be entered to win some Bella Bucks! All challenge details can be found HERE.

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Paper Smooches’ New Cacti Dies

Hi everyone! Have you seen Paper Smooches‘ latest release? I’ve been chomping at the bit to share my samples using the new stamps and dies. Today I have two cards to share using new Cacti dies. Those who know me, know that I love Arizona. I couldn’t wait to create with this set!

Paper Smooches Cacti dies

The set includes dies to create a few different types of cacti including pots, needles, blossoms and more. I opted for a Prickly Pear and Barrell here.

Paper Smooches Cacti dies (close-up)

Copic markers – RV17, V05, Y17, YG03

I sponged a bit of green ink around the edges of the cacti to add definition. The buds and blossoms were colored with Copic markers then adhered using Ranger Multi Medium Matte and a Quick Stik tool. (I highly recommend the Quick Stik tool for picking up and placing those tiny pieces.) The sentiment was stamped from Eco Friendly. I thought it coordinated perfectly.  I adhered the bases of the cacti to the paper and used foam squares beneath the upper edges to add a bit of dimension. I finished off the flower by adhering an orange Jelly Gem from Queen & Company.

Next I created a card that is a bit more masculine. Do the flowers make it less masculine? Hmmm… I think it’s ok.

Copic markers – Y17, YG08

I blended a bit darker green around the edges here and used a Mermaid Lagoon blended background.

At the time of typing this post, I do not have specific links to Paper Smooches’ latest release products but you can find everything HERE. I will update the links below soon.

Your Kindness Always Blows Me Away (stamping bella)

Hello everyone! It’s time for another challenge with Stamping Bella! This week we’re revisiting older, a.k.a. “vintage” images. This might be my favorite challenge of the month as it gives me a chance to thumb through stamp sets I haven’t used in a while.

Stamping Bella Uptown Girl Bentley is Blown Away

This week I chose Uptown Girl Bentley is Blown Away. I love that the included sentiment is ‘kindness’ based. The image would also work perfectly for birthdays.

Stamping Bella Uptown Girl Bentley is Blown Away (close-up)

Copic markers – BG10, BG11, BG13, BG15, E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, E31, E35, R01, RV17, RV19, RV69, V05, Y21, YR14, YR23

After stamping onto X-Press It Blending Card, I colored with markers, masked the image with a Post It Note, then blended in a Mermaid Lagoon background.

Also this week, I posted the card below on Instagram.

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Boy Scout

Copic markers – B24, B29, BG99, E000, E00, E04, E11, E13, E15, E18, E21, E30, E31, E33, E35, G21, G85, R01, R02, R29, R89, W1, W2, W3, Y17, YG63, YR07

I’ve used Tiny Townie Boy Scout. (I created a Girl Scout card in July.) Cute white stars are from Queen & Company.

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Use an image from the Mr. Postie category, which is the same category as our August Stamp of the Month, Uptown Seal of Approval. (Available through 8/30 at 25% off).  If you’d like, email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog. By doing so, you’ll also be entered to win some Bella Bucks! Stamping Bella August Stamp of the Month

Hi everyone! TGIF! It’s time for the Stamping Bella team to share samples using the August Stamp of the Month, Uptown Seal of Approval, from the Mr. Postie Collection. Uptown Seal of Approval is a set of four images perfectly sized for use in planners, on envelopes or cards. The set is available through August 30 at 25% off.

Stamping Bella Uptown Seal of Approval

I used my favorite image from the set, stamping three times onto X-Press It Blending Card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. To perfectly align the circles, I used my MISTI and the plastic imaging sheet from a stamp positioner. A block of clear acetate also works.

Copic markers – BG10, BG11, E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, E31, E35, R01, R02, R27, RV14, Y21

After coloring with Copic markers (listed above), I stamped an Alice in Wonderland sentiment then layered over patterned paper from Queen & Company‘s Pretty Presents paper pad. Once everything was adhered to the card base, I decided to add a bit of sparkle using three white Petite Posies.

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Use a vintage Stamping Bella image, meaning one NOT from the current/most recent release. (If the image is not listed in the “what’s new” category, then it’s considered “vintage.”) If you’d like, email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog. By doing so, you’ll also be entered to win some Bella Bucks! All challenge details can be found HERE.

Wishing You a Slice of Happiness (Queen & Company)

Hello! Today I have a really fun card to share using Queen & Company‘s Fruit Basket Shaker Kit. It’s one of my favorites, probably because I adore the cute fruit shaker toppings.  They’re adorable in the shaker as well as outside, used as little embellishments.  🙂

Queen & Company Fruit Basket Shaker Kit

The kit includes a themed paper pad, dies, stamp set, custom toppings and foam/acetate pieces. Plenty to make quite a number of shaker cards.

Queen & Company Fruit Basket Shaker Kit (close-up)

Along with the tiny grapefruit slices, I also added in some Diamonds, pink Pops and yellow Gems.  The diamond toppings are amazing and available in sets or individual refills. I use a lot of clear diamonds so that is awesome news to me!

To adhere the outer frames and additional toppings on the card front, I find that Sheer Glue works best. If I accidentally use a bit too much glue and it squishes out from underneath, I use a dampened Q-tip or corner of a paper towel to gently wipe away the excess.

If you think you’ll love the Fruit Basket Shaker Kit so much that you may run out of supplies, also available are refills:  Fruit Basket paper pad, Fruit Toppings and Foam and Acetate pieces.

Thanks for stopping by!  🙂

hello (paper smooches)

Hello crafty friends!  Thanks so much for stopping by today. I appreciate each and every peek.  🙂

Today I’m sharing a card using product from Paper Smooches‘ July release. You can see all of the latest stamps and dies here. I’ve used Pattern Builder dies, Inverted Greetings and Patternology stamp sets.

I simply taped the various dies in place, one at a time, and die-cut with my Big Shot. Once all the rows were cut, I used various strips of scrap card stock behind the openings.  The pink dots were stamped from Patternology, using my MISTI to ensure even coverage. I don’t know how I ever stamped without my MISTI. It is by far my most beloved tool. The Hello block was stamped in green ink then trimmed and popped up on foam squares.  Pretty quick and easy.  🙂

Thanks again for visiting! Enjoy your day!

Golden with a Sneaker (stamping bella)

Hello there! I hope your weekend was fun! Ours was h-0-t. I think we were outdoors three-fourths of the time. Most of it was fun (the Hootie concert was fantastic), but I am so very much looking forward to cooler temperatures.

Today I’m sharing a card featuring another new release from Stamping Bella.

Stamping Bella Golden with a Sneaker

Using Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped Golden with a Sneaker onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with markersusing a small bit of blending and a lot of dots/pouncing of the marker tip to add depth.

Stamping Bella Golden with a Sneaker (close-up)

Copic markers – B18, B26, B39, E31, E35, E37, R29, W1, W2, W3, Y21

Isn’t he adorable with the sneaker in his mouth? (I wouldn’t want my sneaker in his mouth, but he’s cute!)  🙂 I’ve listed the Copic markers used below the close-up photo. After coloring, I die-cut the image and adhered over a blended background. Sentiment is from new Dog Sentiment set.

You can find all of Stamping Bella’s latest release HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Dream Big (stamping bella)

Hello everyone. Happy Friday! We have a very busy weekend ahead. It’s the end of summer swim season so we have an event tonight, our Divisionals meet (v-e-r-y early, v-e-r-y long) tomorrow…then HOOTIE! Oh my gosh, I’m so excited. I’ll need a nap in between but I cannot wait!  It’s been so long! Then Sunday is our banquet. Then I get to organize my son to get back to school. That’s  not so much fun. But we have a vacation in there somewhere also so August? It will be gone in a flash.

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie with an Elephant

This week’s challenge with Stamping Bella was to use an image from the latest release. Since the Tiny Townies are my favorite, I chose Tiny Townie with an Elephant. Such an adorable image and perfect sentiment.

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie with an Elephant (close-up)

Copic markers – BG10, BG70, BV00, BV01, BV02, BV25, C00, C0, C1, C2, C3, C4, E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, E31, E33, E35, R000, R00, R01, R21, Y21, YR23

After stamping onto Blending Card and coloring with Copic markers, I masked the image and used Taylored Expressions’ new Blender Brushes and lovely Folk Art Tulip stencil to create a softly faded background.  To add a bit of sparkle, I adhered a few of Queen & Company‘s purple Jelly Gems Toppings.

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Use any current Stamping Bella image. (No restrictions.) If you’d like, email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog. By doing so, you’ll also be entered to win some Bella Bucks! All challenge details can be found HERE.

Don’t Just Be Good to Others (stamping bella)

Hello everyone! I couldn’t wait to use more from Stamping Bella‘s latest release. This one reminds me a bit of my daughter.

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Girl Scout

I’ve used  new Tiny Townie Girl Scout.  Isn’t she cute with her little pigtails? I love her. The sentiment is pretty great also, don’t you think?  🙂

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Girl Scout (close-up)

Copic markers – B29, E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, E25, E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, E39, E40, E42, E43, E44, G07, G09, G28, G29, G40, G43, G46, R01, R29, R89, RV66, Y21, Y17

I stamped the image onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers.  I blended a bit of blue sky/clouds using Taylored Expressions’ new Blender Brushes. Have you seen them? Game. Changer.

They are fabulous. It’s so easy to create the softest blends. (I used them on tomorrow’s card as well.)  I had a hard time achieving soft, even blends with a blending tool or sponge. Not anymore!  Easy peasy.

Once my colored panel was adhered to the green patterned paper (which is actually from an older Christmas paper pad), I added a couple of die-cut curly clouds.

I’ll be back tomorrow! Thanks so much for visiting!
