Love (Really) is in the Air

Hello everyone.  How are you, really? Some days I seem to be better than others. I worry about my mom and stepdad, my inlaws. All of those who are at higher risk of not being able to handle this virus. I also have a high school senior missing out on so many things, not knowing if she’ll actually go to college in the fall. I worry about people I don’t know, their mental health as well as physical. I want to stay informed, but at the same time, it’s hard to watch the news.  It’s just so much. But there is a lot of love in the air. Sprinkled among the bad news, there are lots of stories of people coming together, helping each other get through, working around quarantine. I know it will get better.  At least, I keep telling myself that.  I’m sending a big hug to all of you. We will hang in there together.

Today the Stamping Bella team is using images from our latest release. I chose Bundle Girl with Falling Hearts. I colored the hearts in bright rainbow colors and used a leftover strip of Queen & Company‘s Fruit Basket stripes. A tiny pattern of white dots was added to the girl’s outfit using a Kirarina Wink White Pearl pen.

Also this week, I posted the two cards below on Instagram.

Posh Has a Present

Hello everyone. I hope you are well.  So far, so good here. Today the Stamping Bella team is sharing creations from the Uptown Couples or Uptown Girls categories. You may recall that Uptown Couple Emily & Ryan Under the Umbrella is 25% off through April 30. Today we’re taking the opportunity to share cards using additional images from the same line.  🙂

Stamping Bella Uptown Girl Posh has a Present

I chose Uptown Girl Posh has a Present. I stamped her onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers (listed below).

Love is a Four Legged Word

Hello everyone. I hope you’re doing well. Today the Stamping Bella team is creating with older, a.k.a. “vintage,” images. I like this challenge as I get to dig through my stamp sets to see what I haven’t used in a while. Plus, it’s fun to see what other DT members have chosen. You can find those on the Stamping Bella blog today.

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Dawn Loves her Doggie

This week I chose Tiny Townie Dawn Loves her Doggie. It’s the sweetest image. I stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers.

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Dawn Loves her Doggie (close-up)

Copic markers – E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, E23, E25, E27, E30, E31, E33, E35, E37, E41, E42, E43, R21, R22, R24, W00, W1, Y21

I used my MISTI to perfectly align the sentiment (which is actually one long line on the stamp). The tiny paw print was added using Paper Smooches’ Planner stencil and Taylored Expressions’ Blender Brush. As a finishing touch, I added a Doodlebug Design Rainbow Heart.

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Use an image from the same category as the April Stamp of the Month, Uptown Couple Emily and Ryan Under the Umbrella (which is 25% off through 4/30/2020). In other words, use any image from the Uptown Couple category, or use an Uptown Girl if you don’t own a Couple.  All challenge details can be found HERE.

Queen & Company’s NEW Butterfly Shaped Shaker Kit

Hi everyone! I’m back today to share more cards using another of Queen & Company‘s fun new Shaped Shaker kits. The Butterfly kit includes the shaker die, stitched outline die, a 2×3 stamp set, four foam/acetate shakers, four shaped cardstock bases and four envelopes.  The kit is so very easy to use!

I first used the Butterfly outline die to cut the dotted Sweet Shop patterned paper. I adhered the foam shaker base and filled the wings with Bitty Buttonsblue and pink Flower Buttons and pink Pastel Diamonds.

After adhering the acetate, I stamped the sentiment in black and pink ink (using my MISTI and removable tape for masking to achieve perfect alignment). I die-cut the pink plaid outline (also from Sweet Shop), then tucked the sentiment strip ends beneath the outline and over the body before adhering. Lastly, I glued three black Bitty Buttons over the body piece. Once completely assembled, I adhered to the card base.

To create the purple butterfly, I die-cut the blue floral outline from Bring on Spring then adhered the foam base. To enclose the body area, I cut and adhered strips of scrap foam from the wings. Inside the wings, I stitched buttons from Purple Button Bouquet and Flower Buttons then added some purple Polka Dot Enamel Dots.

I filled the body with purple Ombre Pearls then trimmed and adhered the body portion from an acetate shape.  The purple patterned outline was cut from Under the Sea paper pad and the sentiment was stamped and tucked beneath a button. (I  cut the left end of the strip to a tag shape and secured beneath the button with a bit of glue.)

On my last Butterfly Shaker, I used a base and outline of Bring on Spring patterned paper with white Button Bouquet, white Jewel stars and pastel orange and clear Diamonds inside.

I stamped the sentiment, adding a thin scrap strip of striped paper then tucked it beneath some white and pink pearl flowers. (Note: The pink flower is actually from the Red Pearl Flower set. The Pink Pearl Flowers are a brighter pink.)

You can find all of Queen & Company’s newest releases HERE. Should you decide to order, I *highly* recommend grabbing a Sheer Glue as it’s the best for adhering anything to the acetate. Also, add a Clear Diamond refill to your order. If you’re like me, you’ll want to add them to everything and run out very quickly!

I’ll be back soon with more! Thanks so much for visiting! Stay safe!

Queen & Company’s NEW Flower Shaker Kit

Hello everyone!  I hope you are well. I’m doing my best to remain positive.

It’s a beautiful spring day here so I thought I’d share some fun new spring/summer Shaped Shaker cards using a kit now available from Queen & Company.

The Flower Shaker kit includes the flower shaker die, stitched flower outline die, a 2×3 stamp set, four foam and acetate shakers, four shaped cardstock bases and four envelopes! Sooooo fun!

On my first Flower Shaker I used lovely Flirty Florals patterned paper with the sentiment stamped onto a strip die-cut using Foundations 4. On each side of the sentiment I stitched a pink button.

Inside the shaker areas I placed new Bitty Buttons in pink, yellow and white with a sprinkling of Sequin Confetti also in the center.

On the above Flower Shaker I used Under the Sea and All Bundled Up patterned paper. The sentiment was broken up into several lines and aligned using my MISTI.

Inside the shaker areas I used Bitty Buttons in purple and pink and sprinkled in some pink and white Pops toppings. Before adhering the white sentiment piece, I stitched a few purple heart shaped buttons.

On my third Flower Shaker card I used white card stock for the stitched outline and pink and yellow paper from Bring on Spring paper pad.

In the shaker I placed clear Diamonds as well as black Bitty Buttons and Black/White larger buttons. To the left of the sentiment I stitched a new Black/White Flower button.

I *loved* playing with new Shaped Shaker kits and I know you will too! You can find all of Queen & Company’s newest releases HERE.

I’ll be back soon with more! (I have lots more!) Thanks so much for visiting! Stay safe!

Stamping Bella’s April Stamp of the Month

Good morning. I hope you are well. We’re beginning to struggle a bit here, getting antsy, teens are getting bored and aggravated. It’s going to be a long  couple of months (or more).  I know it’s difficult for everyone, and I’m VERY thankful that none of my friends or family are currently sick.  But by staying home, we are helping. We have to keep reminding ourselves of that. I may start sewing face masks for those who need them. The DIY instructions were in my Hobby Lobby email this morning.

This week the Stamping Bella team is creating with Uptown Couple Emily & Ryan Under the Umbrella. The image and two sentiments are 25% off through April 30.

Stamping Bella Uptown Couple Emily and Ryan Under the Umbrella

Copic markers – B91, B93, B95, B97, B99, BG10, BG70, E00, E04, E11, E21, E70, E71, E74, E79, R83, R85, R89, RV11, RV32, R0000, R000, G09, G21, G24, Y21, YR23

I stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. The image was mounted onto a block of Simple Stripes patterned paper.  For a bit of dimension, I added a few Doodlebug Rainbow Hearts.

This week I also posted the above card on Instragram using Uptown Girl Sandy and her Sombrero with a Summer Sentiment. I used retired patterned paper from my stash, Taylored Expressions’ Circle Masking Stencil for the sun and a sprinkling of yellow jelly gems for a bit of sparkle.

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Use a vintage Stamping Bella image, meaning one NOT from the current/most recent release. (If the image is not listed in the “what’s new” category, then it’s considered “vintage.”) All challenge details can be found HERE.

Quick and Easy Happy Birthday Die-cuts

Hi everyone! Distracting with crafting!

Today I’m popping in with a quick and easy card using Paper SmoochesRainbow Sherbet die-cuts. There is no stamping at all here.

I used all die-cuts from the package other than the scalloped border and honeycomb pattern. The scalloped border and honeycomb pattern were cut using Fab Frames dies and Rainbow Sherbet patterned paper.

Once assembled, I poked a couple holes in the sentiment strip and tied it onto the frame using hemp cord. I used a few clear foam squares to adhere the strip in place.

There are a lot of cute die-cuts in the Rainbow Sherbet die-cut pack. You can check them out here.

Thanks for visiting today.  Please stay safe! And if you are working an essential job (of any kind), THANK YOU.

Bundle Bunny Happy Easter

Hello everyone! How are you? What are you doing to pass your time, if you’re staying home? (I hope you are staying home, if you can.)  I’m still doing my usual work but thinking about painting rooms in the house. I’ve been out a few times for groceries, or to just drive around a bit to get out of the house. The stores and roads are eerily quiet/empty. It’s so very strange. It’s a beautiful day today though so I may spend some time on the deck.

This week the challenge with Stamping Bella was to create using an image from the lastest release. I chose Bundle Girl Bunny.

Stamping Bella Bundle Girl Bunny

After stamping both images onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloring with Copic markers, I die-cut and adhered over Queen & Company‘s Sweet Shop patterned paper.

Stamping Bella Bundle Girl Bunny (close-up)

Copic markers – B0000, B000, B00, C00, C1, C2, E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R00, RV11, RV32, V0000, V01, YR000, YR00, YR01, YG0000, YG00, YG01

I stamped an Easter Sentiment then adhered a few super-sparkly white Petite Posies.

Rainbow Butterfly Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone. How is the social distancing going for you? Today my daughter and I attempted homemade pasta. Yes, we were bored. Well, she was. The pasta was “ok.” Would we do it again? Nope. Haha. How are you spending your time? Have you tried anything new?

Today I’m sharing a quick and easy card using Flutterby from Paper Smooches‘ latest release.

Using my beloved Misti, I stamped each butterfly using pink then orange, yellow, etc. inks, stamping half the butterfly at a time.

I used a strip of Half Moon patterned paper across the top and bottom and stamped a sentiment from Delightful Greetings. Very easy.  🙂

Thanks for visiting today. Stay safe!!
