Life is a Circus (especially in the summer)

Hi everyone! I hope your summer is going well. Mine has been crazy busy. One would think with two teens, I’d have more time to myself. Um, no. There is always something going on.

I have a fun/simple card to share today using a new to me (but “older”) stamp set by Paper Smooches – Enjoy the Show. I’ve also used a great “behind the scenes” X-Press It product you may want to try. : )

I stamped the image with Taylored Expressions’ Oreo hybrid ink onto X-Press It Blending Card then colored with Copic markers. Once colored, I added a ground line using a 0.3 black Multiliner then adhered the panel to a striped background paper using an X-Press It Double-sided Tape Runner.

Copic markers – B18, E000, E00, E01, G05, G09, G28, R20, R27, R56, R59, Y19, YR23, 0.3 black Multiliner

Compared to other popular tape runners, X-Press It’s is a great buy (about 5¢ less per foot). It’s extra strong, permanent, acid and solvent free as well as heat resistant. My favorite quality though – it won’t “gum up.” You can count on a smooth application every time. I’ll definitely be adding a few of these to my next Copic order!

Live Every Day Like It’s Your Birthday

Hi everyone! TGIF, which also means it’s time for another challenge with Stamping Bella. This week’s challenge included a {Mojo}Bella sketch (found at the bottom of this post).

I’ve used one of my favorite Uptown Girls, Posh has a Present.

After coloring with Copics, I trimmed the borders, leaving the gifts to pop “outside of the box.” The sentiment is from Edna with a Cupcake on Top.

A Little Birdie Told Me…

Hi everyone! Just popping in with a quick (ish) card I created today for the 30 day coloring challenge on Instagram. (The challenge is not solely on Instagram. That’s just where I’ll upload most of my days’ coloring.) I thank Kathy for helping to jump-start my missing mojo. I love this challenge. ♥

Today I colored cute giraffes from Reverse Confetti‘s Lift Me Up set. Sooo cute!

After coloring with Copic’s, I die-cut using Lift Me Up Confetti Cuts, adhered to a Party Time Quick Card Panel and added a couple of Linked Garland Confetti Cuts.

Let’s Celebrate (paper smooches)

Happy Independence Day to my US friends! I hope the weather is *much* better where you are. I’m afraid there will be no fun outdoor picnicing for us today. Rain, rain, storms, rain, yuck. 🙁 We’re hoping the weather will break for fireworks tonight. We shall see.

In the meantime, I’m popping in to post a card using new Fireworks dies and Summer Sampler stamp set now available from Paper Smooches.

I used the fireworks as candles, coloring over the stars with a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush to add just a bit of sparkle. Easy-peasy.

Sending You Lots of Love (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! Did you happen to catch Stamping Bella‘s latest release of updated Bellas? (They’re a-MAZ-ing. Just sayin.) You can see them all HERE, along with one new Edna, three new Wobbles and Manly Chicks. So cute!

This week’s challenge was to add glitter or bling. The DT is also using the July Stamp of the Month, Edna Blows a Kiss. She’s 20% off through July 31st. (You can see all Edna images and accessories HERE.)

I chose to sit Edna upon her Daisy Base. I first stamped Edna then masked her using a post it note, stamped the daisy and colored with Copic markers.

Once colored, I added sparkle to her wings and outfit using a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush. (It’s actually very sparkly but was hard to capture in the photo.)

The sentiment was stamped from Mail Chick (The Cool Chicks Collection).
