Sending You Oodles of Love

Hi everyone! It’s time for another challenge with Stamping Bella!  Last week’s theme was Love is in the Air, and to go along with love being in the air, Uptown Girl Lucille Sends her Love is 20% off through February 29!

I colored Lucille a few days ago as part of the 30-day color challenge hosted by Kathy Rascoosin of The Daily Marker. The goal is to color every day for 30 days (using any medium), even if only for a few minutes. There are lots of prizes involved too! (Maybe even a Stamping Bella prize sometime during the challenge!) If you’d like to play along, you can find details HERE. If you’d like to see any of my additional coloring for the challenge, you can find me HERE on Instagram @SHEL9999. I share more on IG than here on my blog so if you don’t want to miss anything, please follow me there.

I colored Lucille with Copic markers, leaving tiny bits of white to show on most of the hearts as highlights. To color her hair, or any curly hair, I use the tip of my marker(s), adding dots rather than coloring/blending. Again, I left tiny bits of white as highlights. It’s super quick!

Taylored Expressions February Release

Hi everyone! Today brings Taylored Expressions February release! You can find all of the new products now available for sale right HERE! I’ve had a great time playing with the new sets and will be sharing my creations throughout the month.

Today I have two cards to share using new If Bunnies Could Talk stamp and die combo.

First, I created an egg-shaped card using the largest of the Egg Stacklets.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

I cut an egg-shaped base by first folding my card stock as I normally would. Then I taped the large egg die to the folded card with the top edge of the die a bit over the folded edge. I cut one full egg shape and adhered that over the folded card base. To keep the card from rocking, I cut a sliver from the bottom edge of the back of the card.

One of the Skinny Mini Borders 2 dies was used to create the flower trim.

Copic markers – B02, C00, C1, E31, E33, E35, G14, R00, R83, Y02, Y15, YR16

Next, I created a spinner card to allow the bunny to show off its tail.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

I stamped the front and back images of the bunny, colored, then die-cut each. I layered the images with a thread running down the center then adhered into the circular opening.

I used another border from Skinny Mini Borders 2 to embellish the front and a stamp positioner to break up the sentiment.

Inside the card, I used the center of the die-cut circle from the card front, decorated with Wispy Grass Border, flowers from new Door to Door Spring Decor and clouds from Sun & Clouds dies.

Enormous Congrats

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card using new stamps and dies from Paper Smooches‘ most recent release.

I started with the new Wine Glass die, creating a shaker element for each glass. Within the set are extra elements such as a flower, a small stick/toothpick, dies to create an olive, cherry or other similarly shaped object and a die shaped like the glass portion of the wine glass.  I used that piece to cut the acetate for the shaker. Super easy!

The sentiment is one of many from this month’s TAM set – Fun & Flirty, free to you this month with any purchase of $60 or more. (Also available for purchase individually.)

It’s also Paper Smooches’ FIFTH anniversary –YAY– and to celebrate, every order placed in the month of February will receive a cute thanks stamp.

Once the shakers were assembled, I added a bow, from Bow Dies, to one stem and a few pearls (colored with a black Copic marker) to the other.

Taylored Expressions February Sneak Peek-Wildflower Bouquet

Hi everyone! This week the Taylored Expressions team is sharing samples using new stamps and dies to be released this Thursday, February 4th.  My card uses new Wildflower Bouquet and coordinating die. Such a pretty image!

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

I stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card then colored with Copics and die-cut the image. I created a small tag for the sentiment, wrapped string then tied through the tag. A small Kool Tak clear foam square secures the tag in place. The tablecloth “trim” was created by die-cutting one of the Skinny Mini Valentine borders from Sugar Cube card stock.
