Happy Easter

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card using new Door to Door Spring Decor along with the base Door to Door die set from Taylored Expressions. I love decorating a door to fit a season or holiday.  How fun to create a card the same way!

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

I used the Brick Embossing Folder, sponged with Mulled Lavender and then Old Paper distress inks as a background. The wreath was created using Door to Door Decor and the cute mailbox was die-cut using Little Bits Mailbox. (I love the heart flag.)  ♥

Life is a Garden. Dig in.

Today brings another sample of Stamping Bella‘s February 23rd release.  Did you see the images featured yesterday?  If not, you can find them HERE.  Oh  my gosh, they are SO cute! I LOVE them! If you leave a comment there on the Bella blog, you will have a chance to win one of the two Edna images AND the coordinating die.  Awesome!  If you missed Day 1, you can comment HERE for a chance to win one of those combos.

So…on to Day 3. Today I’ve used new Gardening Chicks.

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

I can’t wait to read Em’s story behind them, but here’s my take. The chick on the right is done. She just can’t. The other two are there for her. The one in the middle is always silly, bringing a bit of humor (or at least a smile) into every situation. And the one on the left, she’s the more serious one, bringing a flower to cheer. Or maybe she’s providing shade. Either way, I love them all. ♥

Copic markers – E31, RV32, RV34, Y21, YG03, YG07, YG23, YG25, YR07, YR23,

As usual, my image was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. Markers used are listed below close-up photo (above).

To see the new images featured today, check out the Stamping Bella blog HERE. Don’t forget to leave a comment for your chance to win one of the featured images as well as its coordinating die!

A Happy Hello

Hello everyone! We awoke to more snow this morning. I don’t mind shoveling, but there’s been enough of that. Let’s focus on spring!

Today I’ve used Botanicals 2 with new coordinating dies from Paper Smooches. The sentiment is from Fun & Flirty, this month’s TAM (Thanks a Million) set which is free to you with any $60 retail purchase through February 29. The set is also available for purchase individually.

A-Happy-Hello-500

I inked the flower stamp with Ranger’s Shaded Lilac and Bundled Sage distress inks, spritzed with water then stamped onto watercolor paper. Once the inks were dry, I die-cut each flower bundle then colored over with a clear Wink of Stella pen.

A-Happy-Hello-CU

To add a bit of dimension, I placed Kool Tak clear foam squares beneath the uppermost flower stem.

2016 DIY Calendar {Critters}

Hi everyone! The 30-day color challenge on Instagram has inspired me to finish my 2016 mini calendar using Taylored Expressions Calendar Critters stamps and dies. Until this morning, I had only finished January and February but now I can check the box that the set is complete and enjoy the rest of the months.  🙂

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

The stamp set includes not only the little critters but small sentiments to go along with each for creating simple note cards. (The cow, lamb and chick are my favorites!)

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

The 2016 pre-printed calendars are no longer available but you’ll be able to purchase 2017 calendars beginning in March, leaving plenty of time to create little scenes! Not that they take long at all. Once colored, assembly was very quick!

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

Together with Calendar Critters, I used Build a Scene Calendar die set which includes all of the elements I’ve used except for the snowflakes. Those were die-cut using Little Bits – Snowflake Confetti.

Now I just need to find a way to display my cute calendar pages.  Maybe THIS.  🙂

Hi everyone! It’s time for another {Mojo}Bella sketch with Stamping Bella! (You can find the sketch HERE.) This week I used super cute Chicks with Sprinkles on Top from the Cool Chicks Collection.

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

As usual, the chicks were colored with Copics on X-Press It Blending Card. I added a few enamel dots to match the Neopolitan scoops of ice cream. (My favorite.) 🙂

Super easy.  🙂   Use any current Stamping Bella image then email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog and to be entered to win some Bella Bucks!  (All challenge details can be found HERE.)

Eggstra Special Easter Wishes

Hi everyone. I’m back today to share a card using one of my favorites from Taylored Expressions latest release – Easter Wishes. I love the floral pattern on the largest egg so much, I hated to cover part of it in the basket.  🙂

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

After stamping the eggs onto X-Press It Blending Card, I colored with Copics, die-cut using Egg Stacklets, then added Glossy Accents to the flower centers, thin stripes and hearts. The eggs were placed into a Wicker Pocket with Wispy Grass.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

Copic markers – B21, B23, BV01, BV02, C00, E50, G40, Y02, Y11, YG11

I just love those eggs.  🙂

Spring is in the Air

Hi everyone! Spring is certainly not in the air here in Virginia but I can create spring on a card.  🙂

I did a bit of coloring today for the 30-day color challenge I’m following on Instagram.  I used Hello Spring from Taylored Expressions, adding in Little Bits Sun & Clouds with a Skinny Mini border along the side.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

I stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. Behind one of the die-cut clouds, I adhered a Kool Tak clear foam square to add just a bit of dimension.

Welcome to the Neighborhood

Hi everyone. Today I’m sharing a card using new Bird House dies from Paper Smooches.

Michele Boyer - Paper Smooches

I die-cut the roofs and posts from dark card stock, adding small dashes and dots using Kirarina Wink White Pearl and Dandelion pens. The three houses were cut from scraps of Echo Park’s The Simple Life patterned paper then raised on Kool Tak clear foam squares and 1/4″ X-Press It Foam Tape. By using the two different thicknesses, the houses are raised at varying heights.

The word Welcome was cut from green card stock then patterned paper, layered for a thicker appearance with a bit of color beneath. The remainder of the sentiment was stamped from The Welcome Wagon stamp set.

Michele Boyer - Paper Smooches

Kirarina Wink White Pearl and Dandelion

The tiny birds are part of the Bird House die set and the bits of grass were created by snipping the small zig-zag stitch from Stitched dies.

You can find all of Paper Smooches’ latest releases HERE.
