Baby, It’s Cold Outside (Taylored Expressions)

Today I’m sharing two cards using new Baby, It’s Cold Outside dies (which coordinate with Baby, It’s Cold Outside stamp set), now available from Taylored Expressions.  🙂

The images in this set are so cute, I could not wait to stamp and color them. My first card uses the cute snowman, colored with Copics and showing off his Christmas tree within a shaker of tiny clear sequins.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

I used new Stitched Circle Stacklets to create the shaker window. Before die-cutting the Little Bits Snowflake Confetti, I adhered the white card stock to a piece of X-Press It double-sided adhesive paper. After die-cutting, the snowflakes easily and permanently adhere to the acetate and surrounding area. To finish the snowflakes, I adhered a tiny sequin to the center of each.

The pretty blue snowflake paper is from Build A Scene Christmas (6×6).

Copic – BG10, BG11, BG13, E35, G14, G17, G29, R29, R39, R89, Y21, YR61

Next, I used two additional images from the set. The sentiment is from In & Out Christmas.

The snowflake paper is popped up on foam tape with a small “path” cut to resemble a snow drift. The train and elves are popped up on foam tape as well.

Aren’t those elves sweet? I love them. ♥

Thanks so much for visiting!

Live Simply, Bloom Wildly (Color Throwdown)

I’m so excited to be playing along this month as a guest  for Color Throwdown! For the next several weeks, I’ll be joining the amazing (and I do mean AMAZING) Color Throwdown Girls. So fun!  🙂

Wanda is our hostess this week and she has selected this gorgeous color combo of Pale Mint Green, Saffron Yellow and Ivory. Oh, how I love it!

I chose to use Countryside Bouquet digital stamp from Power Poppy. What a beautiful image!

After coloring with Copics and assembling my card, I decided to add tiny pearls within the design of the patterned paper. I used hemp cord to adhere the “tag” sentiment, adding a few pearls there also.

(“Creative Cards Magazine+” giveaway HERE. Two more days to comment for a chance to win!)

I had lots of fun creating with Paper Smooches‘ October release (now available HERE)! Today I’ve used  new Holly, Wreath Builders and Merry Christmas dies and Holiday Cheer stamp set.

First, I used the Holly leaves to create a simple, layered wreath. After adhering the berries, I added a dot to each with a White Pearl Kirarina Wink pen then covered with Glossy Accents.  As a finishing touch, I adhered tiny clear rhinestones.

Michele Boyer - Paper Smooches

I easily stamped the sentiment from Holiday Cheer using two colors of ink and my MISTI for guaranteed perfect alignment. (Directions at the bottom of this post.)

Next I used layers of Wreath Builders and Bow dies to create a holiday spray. Once assembled, I colored over some adhesive pearls with an R89 Copic marker then adhered.

I die-cut Merry Christmas, thinly outlined a few areas and adhered all to a popped up dotted panel.

Two quick and easy cards that come together in little time.  I only need about 18 more.  😉

Thanks for visiting today!

tea (n.) A hug in a cup

TGIF!  🙂 Today I’m using Queen Hoppy Poppy from Stamping Bella.  She’s the new Stamp of the Month, available to you for 20% off through October 31st.

This week’s challenge was to paper-piece, a technique I normally love. But with the small areas of this image, my poor eyes couldn’t handle it.  So instead, she is colored with Copic markers.  🙂

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

Once colored, I adhered a strip of fancy velour ribbon. (She IS the queen, after all.) On one of the brads, I hung a tiny teapot charm.

Taylored Expressions October Release — Now Available!

It’s Taylored Expressions October Release day! You can find all of the new products now available for sale right HERE!

Today I’m sharing a card using new On the Line North Pole Cutting Plate and Little Bits Snowflake Confetti. I had so much fun building this scene. With all of the different elements in the die set, it’s so easy to add amazing detail!  And I just adore this Little Bits Fox so I had to include him.  🙂

Happy-Holidays-Fox-500

I die-cut the tree plate twice from Sweet Basil card stock so I could add an extra layer of tree on each side. I cut a third time from Chocolate Truffle for the tree trunks and then twice more from cream card stock to create two layers of snow. Between the snow layers, I tucked Kool Tak clear foam squares to create dimension.

After die-cutting the ornaments and Santa clothes, I added tiny white dots using a Kirarina Wink White Pearl pen. (I love those tiny clothes pins! So cute!)

Happy-Holidays-Fox-CU

I sprinkled around some Little Bits Snowflake Confetti then stamped a sentiment from Baby, It’s Cold Outside.
