The spotlight this week with My Favorite Things is on the May new release sets. Last week I shared a sample using the new Who’s That Girl set, Girl’s Day In. Today I have Flopsey… Birthday Flopsey, that is. He’s so cute holding that great big cake. And the sentiments in this set are adorable. I used my favorite here, splitting it between the bag and the card.
Ready…Set…BLOW!
I colored Flopsey with Prismacolor pencils, blending with Weber Natural Turpenoid. I paper-pieced the cake and added separate strips of “icing” to the layers (cut from scraps of white cardstock).
Here’s a closer shot of the little gift card. (It’s 3″ x 3″).
Also available on Wednesday (May 6th, 10 p.m. EST) is an owl set and another set of cute little bunnies. I’ll have samples of those tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 10 p.m. (EST) when the MFT New Release Blog Hop takes place.
