Happy McThursday!!!! You know where I’ll be tonight! Glued to my tv! 🙂
So today Lindsey is filling in for Julia for the WT challenge at Splitcoast. I wanted to make an anniversary card for my hubby (it’ll be ten years on Saturday) so I put on my thinking cap…
Happy Anniversary
My first thought for a guy card is always brown. I know I need to break away from using so much of that color, but I *really* like it. 🙂
I used several sets from The Rummage Bin line at Cornish Heritage Farms. From The Art of Framing I used the ‘Live Love Laugh’ sentiment, the word ‘happy’ from the ‘happy birthday’ sentiment, and the swirls. The word “anniversary” came from the So Happy set. And the clock is from Time to Stamp. I also used my all-time favorite (and most used) backgrounder, Canvas. The faint little “i love you” in the lower right corner is from Script Essential Expressions from Mona Lisa Moments at CHF. The sentiment is embossed using “Coffee on the Rocks” embossing powder (also from CHF). Wow, does it ever smell yummy!
Cardstock: Prism Suede Brown Medium and Dark, Natural Smooth Stamps: Cornish Heritage Farms “The Art of Framing,” “So Happy,” “Time to Stamp,” “Canvas” backgrounder, “Script Essential Expressions” Ink: Adirondack Espresso, Latte; Ranger Walnut Stain Distress; Versamark Accessories: Coffee on the Rocks embossing powder (CHF), heat tool, We R Memory Keepers large copper eyelets. Card size 5” x 5”.
Ahoy Matey!
And…here’s another brown card. I still had the pirate on the table so I thought I’d use him again. (That didn’t sound right, did it?)
This little guy is by Lizzie Anne Designs. I paired him with my current favorite patterned paper, Basic Grey Archaic. I used Copic markers to color the image and faux stitched around the edges.
Cardstock: SU Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla Patterned Paper: Basic Grey Archaic paper pad Stamps: Lizzie Anne Designs Pirate and Ahoy Matey Ink: Adirondack Pitch Black Accessories: Copic markers, SU Jumbo eyelet, hemp, piercing template/needle, brown marker, pop dots. Card size 5” x 5”.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!!
