You’re a Hoot!

I haven’t had a chance to participate in a Dirty Dozen (past and present) challenge for a while!  This month’s challenge was to use an owl…easy enough!  The only restriction was to use no rhinestone/crystal/Dew Drop-type embellishments.

You’re a Hoot, Friend!

I chose a few Kim Hughes sets (from Cornish Heritage Farms) for this card.  I used The Landing Pad for the branch and “Friend,” one of the owls is from Pretty Birds,  and the other owl and “You’re a Hoot” are from the U R A Hoot set.

I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the owls on the branch, stamping the  claws for each a second time, cutting them out and placing them over the branch.  (It was a little easier to place the owls that way and the cut out claws add just a bit of dimension.)  I cut the prongs from a couple of pink brads and glued them to the center of the big flower brads.  The sentiment is black embossed.

You can see the other DD challenge projects here.  Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!
