Good morning! I thought I’d do this week’s Splitcoast sketch challenge really quick before I get going…it didn’t go as quickly as I had hoped, but I think I’m happy with it nonetheless.
Live, Love, Bloom
I used the new Afternoon Tea designer paper by Stampin’ Up (again…because I *LOVE* it)!
To stamp the flower (from The Rummage Bin “Beautiful” set by Cornish Heritage Farms), I inked the whole thing with Groovy Guava then used a Chocolate Chip marker in the center. I also dragged the brush end of the marker along some of the petal edges. After stamping onto the vanilla cardstock, I added some extra dots in the center with the small tip of the Chocolate marker. Next, I used a waterbrush with Cocoa ink to add a bit of color in the blank spaces of the petals.
I lightly stamped the Burlap backgrounder (also by CHF) over the focal point, sponged the edges and added a few faux stitches here and there. I also dirtied up the ribbon a bit because it seemed slightly too bright for the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!
