Happy Birthday, Girlie Chick!

I popped into Splitcoast this morning to check out the color challenge and it sounded like a bright, fun combo…Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi and So Saffron.  Since I need quite a few birthday cards this month, I thought I’d get started.

I used my new favorite white cardstock for watercoloring, Bazzill Coconut Smoothies.   After coloring the image, I outlined a bit with a Cool Gray Copic marker.  The dotted background is by C.C. Designs and the focal image is raised on foam squares.  I used just a dot of orange Stickles on the daisy for just a tiny pop of sparkle.  The “floor” line was drawn in with a black SU marker.  I always use my Stamp-a-ma-jig imaging sheet as my straight edge.  Since it’s clear, I’m able to put the line just where I want it (and I use it so much anyway, it’s always on the table).

Thanks for stopping by!  I need to go convince my daughter that she does indeed want to go to school today.  🙂  Have a great day!

ETA:  I got my chickie stamp here from All That Scraps.  They’re sold out at the moment, but you can get on the waitlist if you’d like.  Christine will send an email when they’re back in stock. 🙂
