Hi everyone! I’m popping in today to share another card I created using new Paper Smooches. I’ve used Face Off which is the Thanks a Million set this month, meaning you can get it for FREE with any $60 retail purchase. Also, today is your last day to Shop to Give!
Fifteen percent of sales made through the Paper Smooches website (through today) will be donated to relief efforts in the Bahamas. I love it. Also, if you type SHOP TO GIVE in the comments box before placing your order, you’ll receive a free stamp set!
Face Off is a cute set of pumpkin and ghost shapes with faces, accents and sentiments. I created a stack of pumpkins by stamping the first, then stamping again onto a Post It Note. I cut out the pumpkin shape from the Post It Note and used that as a mask over the first pumpkin before stamping the next. I repeated the step once more then added leaves and curls of linen thread.
The pumpkins were colored with Copic markers (listed above). I cut out just the bottom portion of the lower pumpkin and slipped in a curved border, sentiment strip and looped border. Teeny stars were then added around. Patterned paper is from Queen & Company‘s Happy Harvest paper pad.
Also this week, I posted the card below on Instagram:
I used the super cool new Buffalo Check stencil and blender brushes to create the checked background.
The pup and spider are from new Best Witches. I also used the set’s coordinating dies. I love that there’s a die to create the little slit in the dog (or cat) for holding the pumpkin basket. 🙂 I used pastels and a small sponge applicator to add a pink blush to the pup, Glossy Accents to the spider’s eyes and I popped up the spider and stars on foam squares. I finished by adhering a few of Queen & Company‘s black Jelly Gems.
I love Paper Smooches’ latest release. You can find it HERE. Thanks for visiting today!
