A Chick on Top (stamping bella) and Copic Newsletter Invite

Hi everyone. With all the holiday cards we’re seeing in Blogland, Instagram, etc., I am really looking forward to the holiday season. I like to decorate a bit early, the weekend before Thanksgiving actually, mostly because it’s just sooo much work. It takes a lot time. And I’d like to enjoy it for a while. My husband, on the other hand, wants to decorate right after Halloween. Wow, um, no. Absolutely no. That is WAY too early. We may have some issues here.  😉

Today I’m sharing a card using another of Stamping Bella‘s latest releases, Snowman With a Chick on Top. How cute is that little chick holding the sticks? He wants to be just like his snowman friend 🙂

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

After stamping Taylored Expressions’ Oreo hybrid ink onto X-Press It Blending Card, I colored with Copic markers, then added some shimmery sparkle to the hat trim with a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush (which, of course, you cannot see in my photo).

I Am So Thankful (for MojoBella Sketches)

Hi everyone! TGIF! Time for another challenge with Stamping Bella! This week’s challenge included a {Mojo}Bella sketch (found here). I ♥♥♥♥♥ {Mojo}Bella sketches. For me, the layouts are usually the hardest part, so if I have one ahead of time, that’s a super big thumbs up!  🙂

This week I used new Tiny Townie Casey has a Cornucopia. I think she’s adorable. The sentiment is from Tiny Townie Fay Loves Fall.

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

I “mostly” followed the sketch. I had to make a couple of tiny adjustments to accomodate the size of the image.

She was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. It took a while, but I like how it turned out.

Here to Spread the Cheer (taylored expressions)

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card to share using a couple of Taylored Expressions‘ latest releases – Santa’s Helpers stamps and dies along with All Wrapped Up, a die set of boxes, lids and assorted bows. So cute!

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

I used Build a Tag 2 to cut the base tag and Doodlebug Here Comes Santa Claus patterned papers for the background and gifts.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

Copic markers – E31, E33, E35, E42, E43, R27, R39, 100

The reindeer was colored with Copic markers, listed above.

I think the tag is cute on the card but it would also work quite nicely on a gift or gift bag.  Hmmm…  🙂

You can find all of Taylored Expressions’ latest release HERE.

Thanks so much for visiting today!

You Make My Life Brighter (paper smooches)

Hi friends.  I have a silly (and quite bright) card to share today using Paper Smooches‘ new Leaf Frame die. (You can see all of the latest release HERE.)

Michele Boyer - Paper Smooches

I “hung” the Chubby Chum Pals bird from the frame by using a kraft knife to cut around the top edges of his feet. I used a black marker to touch up any white areas of the paper left as a result of the cutting. To add a bit of dimension, I placed a clear foam square behind his head.

Flowers are from Flowers 2 dies and the sentiment is from Giddy Bugs. I used my MISTI to easily stamp the sentiment in multiple colors. (I love the MISTI. It’s worth EVERY penny.)

Holiday Wishes (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! I recently received this adorable image from Stamping Bella‘s latest release, Tiny Townie Skylar Loves to Skate. I, personally, do not love to skate but she sure looks cute doing it!  (I’d be hanging onto the side rail for dear life. Not moving.  At all.  Or I’d be sprawled out on the ice.  Probably in pain. Yes, that is the most likely scenario. Haha.)

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

The image was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. I used one of Copic’s new Lavender Multiliners to add a bit of pattern to the background. Lavender is available in five different sizes. Here, I used 0.3.

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

Copic markers – BG10, BG70, BV000, C00, C1, C2, C3, E00, E01, E11, E31, E35, R01, R02, RV66, V01, V06, V12, Y21; 0.3 Lavender Multiliner

I like having an assortment of Multiliners on hand to add pattern, doodle or to fill in lines of a stamped image that may not have stamped 100%. My favorites are Black (in 0.5, 0.3,0.25 and 0.05 to match stamped line variations), Wine (for freckles) and the new Lavender (so pretty). 🙂

May All Your (Gaming) Wishes Come True

Hi everyone! It’s Bellarific Friday with Stamping Bella! This week the team is featuring October’s Stamp of the Month, Game On by Mo Manning, available for 20% off through 10/31. It’s a great image for all of our “gaming” guy friends (or sons…husbands…)  For this week’s challenge, we created “free form,” no limitations. 🙂

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

After coloring my image with Copic markers, I die-cut a couple of party banners, adhering along the top edges only so the banner pieces could pop out just a bit.

The die-cut sentiment is from Balloonabella and the tiny “happy birthday” at the bottom was stamped using a partial sentiment from Kitty & Mousie Celebrate a Birthday.

Michele Boyer - Stamping Bella

Copic markers – B93, B95, B97, B99, BG11, E35, E42, E43, E50, E51, E53, E55, E57, E81, G05, G19, R01, R46, R59, W00, W1, W3, Y17, YR01, YR14, YR16, YR27, YR68

Taylored Expressions October Release & Crafty Points Give-away!

Hi everyone! It’s release day with Taylored Expressions! All new October stamps and dies are available to you right HERE.  I had such fun creating this month and I look forward to sharing with you throughout the next few weeks. Today I have two samples along with a Crafty Points give-away so be sure to read to the end!

First, I’ve used new O Holy Night stamp set. It’s a beautiful set with two stained glass windows and several accompanying sentiments. Perfect for creating a more traditional Christmas card.

I stamped the image onto Vellum card stock using Golden Glitz ink then clear embossed. I used Copic markers to color, applying the ink to the back side of the vellum. In doing so, the color is muted just a tad so when trying this technique, be sure to choose markers a bit darker than your targeted hues.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

The wall was created by using Brick embossing folder with Sugar Cube card stock. To die-cut the window opening, I used Label Stacklets 5.  After die-cutting the actual window shape, I taped together two of the label dies to create a thin window border, giving the opening a crisp/clean finish.

Copic markers – E50, G21, G24, R14, R35, R43, RV34, Y21

The brick panel with window frame was adhered over the vellum panel and card base using foam tape to create additional dimension.

Next, I created a super quick and easy card, again using a panel of vellum card stock. This time, I embossed the vellum using Holly embossing folder. I applied a 1/8″ strip  of double-sided tape along the back side, about 1/4″-1/2″ from the top. The bottom of the vellum is free with the top adhered to the card base and adhesive hidden by the double wrap of gold twine.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

I used the new Peace die, cut from gold card stock and a partial sentiment from O Holy Night, stamped in gold and clear embossed.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

The tiny tag is simply tucked beneath the bow and secured with glue.  I find that easier than punching a small hole and inserting/tying the twine through the tag.

Today I have a fun prize up for grabs! I’m giving away 100 Taylored Expressions Crafty Points that can be applied to your next purchase from the TE Web Store! Caught up in the Spirit of Christmas (Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek)

Hi everyone! Welcome to Day 1 of  Taylored Expressions‘ October 6 release previews! It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We have so many fun holiday products coming your way this month.  From cute and whimsical to more traditional, we’ve got you covered!

Today I’ve used new Deck the Halls stamp set with coordinating die as well as new Skinny Mini Holiday Borders.

Michele Boyer - Taylored Expressions

I first lightly sponged a Salt Water Taffy background onto a Sugar Cube card base. I die-cut the Skinny Mini Holiday Borders from Sugar Cube card stock, colored with Copic markers then brushed over each light with a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush.

The penguin was stamped using Oreo hybrid ink, colored with Copics then die-cut and adhered over the main panel. I brushed clear glitter over the penguin’s light string and star as well.  Lastly, everything was framed in a Stitched Frame Stacklets 1 border.
