Friends Warm the Coldest of Days

Hi everyone. I was in need of a bit of color therapy the other day and decided to use Birdie Brown’s Warmest Wishes.  I just love this image and hope to see more like it.  🙂

Friends-Warm-Shaker-500

I used one of my favorite new colors, Tropical Teal, stamping Swiss Dots Background using Teal ink, Circle STAX 1 and 2 to create the window and Blueprints 15 (heart) and 3 (sentiment strip).  To create the shaker, I placed pieces of X-Press It 1/2″ Foam Tape (now available in the MFT store!) in the circle shape. Inside, I placed sparkly Twinklets Diamond Dust.

Friends-Warm-Shaker-CU2

On the inside of the card, I added a second sentiment and a drift of snowflakes.

Welcome Baby

Hi everyone. 🙂 I have a super quick and easy baby card to share today. I’ve used Squared and Welcome Word dies along with The Welcome Wagon stamp set from Paper Smooches.

Michele-Squared-Die

The soft Sno Cone card stock and ink is perfect for a baby boy, but can be easily switched for a girl (or non-gender specific).

I used Swiss Dots Background with Wild Thing stamp set and Die-namics, “hello” from Photo Booth and “baby…….” from Beautiful Baby.

Hello-Baby-500

The opening was created using new Peek-a-Boo Circle Windows Die-namics.

Hello-Baby-CU500

I had a leftover strip of dotted paper so I used that inside along with a sentiment from Beautiful Baby.

hats off to you (literally)

Happy Thursday!  The weekend is almost here!  YAY!  I’m not a late sleeper but I do enjoy sleeping past 5:15.  🙂

My card today features Paper SmoochesNoggin Toppers stamp set.  The little squirrel, from Hang Ups, is typically hanging from a branch (or something) but I used her extended arms to lift her hat.  Hee, hee.

hats-off-to-you-squirrel-500

After stamping and coloring (with Copics), I stamped her feet a second time, colored and popped them up on foam tape.  The flower on the hat was stamped a second time as well, cut out and adhered only in the center to allow the petals to bend forward off the card.

Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine Special Thanks! Blog Hop

Hi everyone.   Welcome to another stop along the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine Special Thanks hop!    If you’ve just popped into my blog, you may want to go back to the
beginning as you’ve missed many, many tributes.  If you’ve just come from Annabelle O’Malley, then you’re right on track.

1papercraftshop1-(1)

Paper Crafts has held (and always will hold) a special spot in the hearts of so very many crafters.  Paper Crafts was the very first magazine I remember picking up when I began this craft, which has turned into so much more for me.  To have played even a small roll in Paper Crafts’ journey (legacy, really) has been an honor.   It’s hard to imagine this industry without them.

I chose peach roses for my card today, peach signifying sincerity, gratitude and thankfulness.

Glad-We-Met-500

I’m thankful for each and every opportunity Paper Crafts has provided to me over the years, the acceptances and yes, even the rejections. 🙂  They made me a better crafter and for that, I am grateful.  I’m thankful I was able to meet some of the Paper Crafts folks years ago.  A true pleasure, it was.

Glad-We-Met-CU

Paper Crafts, I’m glad we met.  While it is sad now, closing this chapter, I  know that each of you will move on to something just as great.  I wish all of you the very best.  Cheers, and XOXO.

If you haven’t yet checked out the tribute slideshow, please do so here. It’s amazing.

Your next stop along the hop is with Clare Buswell.  (You can find the list with all links by clicking on the Inlinkz icon below.)

Also, I want to send a  big thanks to Taheerah for putting this whole thing together.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

MFT December Previews – Be Yourself

I have one last preview to share before MFT‘s December New Product Launch tonight at 10 p.m. EST.  Today I’ve used new Desert Bouquet and Friends Like Us with Persimmon card stock and ink as well as a bit of Limelight ink. (I ♥ the new colors!)

Be-Yourself-500c

After stamping the flowers, I clear embossed the sentiment and added some dots of Glossy Accents in the flower centers and a bit randomly around the flowers.

Be-Yourself-CU3

Inside,  I stamped the border in Bubblegum ink and added a sentiment from Friends Like Us.

Be-Yourself-In3

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I’ll be back tonight at 10 p.m. EST for the New Product Launch!

MFT December Previews – Photo Booth

Hi everyone!  I’m back today with two samples of MFT‘s December release, this time using Photo Booth and Friends Like Us stamp sets with Photo Booth Props, Polaroid Cover Up and Emmitt Alphabet Die-namics.

First, I used Photo Booth with dotted border and sentiment from Friends Like Us.  The center mustache and lips were die-cut using Photo Booth Props and popped up on clear foam squares.

Im-So-Happy-For-You-500

Inside, I stamped a sentiment from Photo Booth and added hearts cut from the heart glasses in Props.

Im-So-Happy-For-You-In

On my second card, I used Emmitt Alphabet to spell out my sentiment.  The comma was created by clipping one of the leftover points from the K die-cut and the three dots are the periods beneath the question mark and exclamation point in Emmitt Numbers & Symbols.

Frankly-My-Dear-500

The dotted border was stamped with Sweet Tooth pigment ink then white embossed, and the bow tie is adhered only in the center with the sides left free to bend forward.

Frankly-My-Dear-CU

Inside, I did not compete the sentiment as expected.  😉  Instead, I used a sentiment from Friends Like Us.

Frankly-My-Dear-In
