Let’s Get Digi (in a template kind of way)

Hello!  🙂

Today the My Favorite Things design team is sharing samples using  four new digi-templates and a new digi-paper pack (now available)!

The template files come in several different formats:

  • PDF: traditional print & cut version
  • SVG: for use with the Cricut Expression and Make The Cut or Sure Cuts a Lot software
  • Ai & DXF: for use with Wishblade, Pazzles, and KNK machines
  • GSD: for use with the Silhouette

How fabulous would it be to have a fancy machine cut all the pieces in a jiffy?  I wouldn’t know.  I used my paper cutter and scissors.  But I’m feeling the pressure….  😉

It’s All About the Candy

I’ve used MFT’s Tiny Town Halloween along with the Pumpkin Box template.   I ***love*** the pumpkin box.

I printed the template onto the back side of a woodgrain patterned paper, constructed my pumpkin and sponged all the edges and score lines, quite heavily, with Ranger’s Walnut Stain Distress ink.

I wrapped one long thin strip of paper around a bamboo skewer to get the curly piece.   After curling, I bent the piece just a bit in the middle(ish) and tucked it beneath my jute string before tying.

I’m really happy with how this turned out.  (Kind of simple, but kind of not.)   🙂

I created a matching card using the same papers, scoring and inking.   A small pop dot beneath the pumpkin costume added just a bit of dimension.

And a little stamp and sentiment along with some sponging provided a quick finish to the inside.

I hope you’ll check out what the design team has done with these new products!  You can find direct links to the samples HERE after 11 a.m. EST.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

It’s Been Too Long

Hi everyone!  I hope it was a good weekend for you!   We visited two local wineries, something we haven’t done for a very long time.  It was tons of fun.   🙂

So I’m back today with more from Tiddly Inks!  I told you I can’t stay out of that shop.  Such cuteness!  (And I have more!)

It’s Been Too Long

See?  Isn’t she CUTE?  This image is Time for Tea.  (I love her hair and the wonky clock.)

I printed the image onto cream cardstock and colored as usual.  Luckily I’ve never had a problem with my Copics and the printer ink.   They work wonderfully together.

I printed the sentiment as well using a font called Milk and Cereal (found here).

I’m off to enjoy our company.  They’re only here until Tuesday morning.  But I’ll be back soon!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!  🙂

A Kraftin Kimmie Challenge

Hello.  🙂
Time for another challenge with Kraftin Kimmie‘s Krafty Girls!  Today Elaine has challenged us to create a card using orange, green and purple.

Boo to You!

I chose to use Steven Leary’s cute little Pumpkin Miles.  I colored him with Copics then added in the grass with pencils.  I also added a bit of dimension and shine to Miles’ eyes using a black 3-d glaze pen.

If you’d like to play along, be sure to post a link to your creation on the Krafty blog.  Each week one random player wins a free stamp.  This week it’s Haunted House (colored bea-U-tifully by Elaine).

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Stamps: Kraftin Kimmie “Pumpkin Miles” (Steven Leary) and Halloween Sentiments  Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Walnut Stain Distress Cardstock: Papertrey Ink True Black, Vintage Cream Patterned Paper: Basic Grey Eerie 6×6 paper pad Accessories: Copic markers (W00, W1, W3, W5, YG11, YG63, V15, V17, YR00, YR02, YR07, E33, E35, E57, YR0000), Prismacolor pencils, button, black hemp, black Sakura 3-d glaze pen, sewing machine. Finished size 5 ½” x 4 ¼”.

Slow Down! I Think I Can…Now

Hi everyone!  I’ve been super busy cleaning, getting ready for company to arrive this afternoon.  And just by chance, I’ve had this card to share.  🙂

Slow Down…You Move too Fast…

This is what I’ve looked like the past two days (but my legs aren’t quite that skinny and my head isn’t quite that big…nor did I have time to bake cookies).   😉

This is Mom of the Year, another of my new purchases from Stamping Bella.  I’ve colored her with Copics, added lots of zig-zagging and attached one of my favorite flowers from my good friend, Jody

Now that most of my cleaning is done –I have a bit left to do– I think I can relax.  (Hopefully, anyway.  🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Take Time to Enjoy the Season

    MFTTTTE

Before I begin, I’d like to post a little disclaimer.  When looking at this card (with my own eyes), all of the purples are soft and very close matches.  I realize that here they look a bit like a modge podge of pinky purples, light and dark, but that is actually my lack of photographic/technological experience.  I don’t know how to adjust for such wonkiness.

TTECUOk…On the actual Winter in the City stamp, the girl’s hands are emtpy.  Just mittens.  The set comes with the little dog but the bags are from Baby Bump…and the wine bottle is from Meet Me at the Cafe.  (See, that’s how she’s going to enjoy the season because if she’s anything like me, she hates shopping anyway.  But to add in the holiday chaos, a nice glass of wine afterwards makes it all better.)

I paper-pieced the outfits, added tiny Swarovski Crystal Adornments to the light posts and dog collar and layered my ribbon over Creme Crochet Lace.

     DSFT      SSDN

I used the new Let It Snowflake Die-namics die-cut as well as the Small Scallops Die-namics border die.  The snowflake die is available with the VIP kit in limited quantities (so shop early!) and then will not be available again until the release on October 6th.

TTInI placed the sentiment on the inside along with two more layered snowflakes.

Your next stop along the hop is with KERRY who I’m sure has something fabulous to share!  🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

MFT à la modes Preview #2

Hi everyone!  The My Favorite Things design team is back today with previews of the second new à la modes set to be released tonight.  I love anything that has to do with lattes, or coffee in general so I was very happy to see this set.  I  it.

Perk Up Soon

    MFTPUS

This is Miss You a Latte.   The set comes with the image I’ve used here plus three cute sentiments.

I paired my latte girl with one of Basic Grey’s fabulous new lines, Pyrus.  Mmmmm…wonderful patterns, cozy/warm colors.  My paper combo is a little on the wild side for me but I love all the patterns.  The layout is one of my faves (an older SFYTT).

MFTPSINI couldn’t bear to waste even the smallest pieces of the patterned paper so I used the cut off ends of the blue print strips along the bottom on the inside.  A quick stamp of the latte girl (placed at a bit of an angle) helped to finish it off.

For direct links to more design team samples using this set, please check Kim’s blog HERE after 11 a.m. EST.

I’ll be back tonight at 10 p.m. EST for the WTG VIP Hop!  At that time the kit and two new à la modes sets will be available for purchase!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

That little smiley butt cracks me up (no pun intended).   🙂

MFT à la modes Preview #1

Hello.  🙂

Today and tomorrow the My Favorite Things design team is previewing two new à la modes sets.  They’ll be released tomorrow (Tuesday) night along with the new VIP WTG kit.  Today we’re sharing samples of Candy Cane Kisses.

         MFTJALM

I colored my girl with Copics…using as little red as possible.  That’s my hardest color to blend.  (I need lots of help there.)

           MFTJALMCU

After coloring, I wasn’t so sure about all that white (cream) space so I used a Creamy Caramel marker to add random dots of snow.

MFTJALMOne of the four accompanying sentiments provided a quick finish to the inside.

For direct links to more previews using this set, check out Kim’s blog HERE after 11:00 a.m. EST.  I’ll be back tomorrow with a sample using the second à la modes set (my favorite)!

It’s All in Black and White (or mostly…sort of)

Hello.  🙂

It’s time for another challenge with Kraftin Kimmie!  This week Donna has challenged us to make a card using black and white.  Or mostly black and white.  I’m not sure mine is mostly black and white, but it’s the best I could do.  (I was having issues.)

Hey Ghoulfriend!

    KKHGF

Here I’ve used Zelda the Zombie and Halloween Sentiments.  I felt the paper was screaming for some distressed edges so I shredded them a bit.  I decided to distress after sponging the edges so the little white frayed pieces would stand out against the darker shades.

To see more “Mostly Black and White” samples (as well as some totally black and white samples), check out the Krafty Blog here.  If you decide to play along, don’t forget to post a link to your creation for your chance to win a free Betty image (from Kimmie’s latest release)!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Hi

Hello.  I’m off in a bit to meet with a friend for coffee.  It’s been a while so we have a lot to catch up on and I’m really looking forward to it.  Sooo…I’ll be a bit quick. 🙂

I’m back today with a digi-image from Tiddly Inks

Hi

      TIHI

This is Annie and she’s been stamping.  🙂  The card on the image is actually blank so you can fill in whatever you’d like.  I stamped the TIHICUflower and “hi,” drew in the little stem and added the mini brad to the flower center.

I’ll be back with more from Tiddly Inks but I think I’ll toss another Stamping Bella in there first.  (ETA…soon!)

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Digi-image:  Tiddly Inks “Annie’s Card” and Cornish Heritage Farms “Tag! You’re In!”  Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black  Cardstock: Bazzill; Papertrey Ink White  Patterned Paper: October Afternoon Ducks in a Row 8×8 paper pad  Accessories: Copic markers (E000, E00, Y21, R81, R83, YG03), Prismacolor pencils, Spare Parts trim by Paper Studio, May Arts ribbon, Michael’s mini-brad.  Finished size 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.

Happy Thoughts

Hello.  Happy Monday.  It’s not exactly a super happy one here.  Mondays always seem hardest, being the first day of the school week.  As for me, I’m still feeling behind on a lot of things after being gone for two weeks…and preparing to be gone for the two weeks.  Now I have company coming in a week and a half.  Sigh.  I guess I’m not all that thrilled about my day either.  But at least it will be quiet and hopefully I’ll get a lot done.

I recently had the opportunity to do a bit of shopping at Stamping Bella, one of my all-time favorite shops. (Special thanks to a very kind lady).   They have new Little Peep’s….soooo cute!  (I might have even let out an audible “eek” when I first saw them.)  You can find them here.

Happy Thoughts

      SBHTP

That teeny tiny girl is just so cute.  I love her, holding that big ol’ flower.  🙂

LPCUI colored with Copics, added a mini brad in the center of each flower and then added an itsy bitsy sentiment from Bella’s Billboardabella set.   (Looks like now you can buy just the sentiments if you so choose.  They’re handy little phrases!)

Next up is something from Tiddly Inks.  (I can’t seem to stay out of that shop either…not surprising since Christy illustrates for Stamping Bella.)   🙂

Ok…I better get these kids moving.  One’s a lot slower than the other so I have to factor in lots of extra time.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!
