Life Involves Passions…and a bunch of other stuff

Hi everyone!  I’m back from a fantastic vacation!  We spent eight days in Disney World with a day and a half of travel on each end.  We stayed so busy.  Some days we left the hotel by 8:30 a.m. and didn’t return until after 9:30 p.m.  Lots of walking!!  But it was a great trip.  (And if you’re interested, my favorite rides were the Aerosmith Rockin’ Roller Coaster–no wisecracks about that Guitar Hero, ok? 😉 , and Mission Space-Orange/More Intense…which I would not let my son ride despite his pleading.)

Now it’s time to get back to reality…and the cold.  My goodness, it feels soooo cold here.  I’m one of those who much prefer warm weather to cold.  And I am sick…a cold/sinus kind of sick.  Ick.  I keep telling myself it will go away. It will go away.  (So far that isn’t working though.)

So now I’m busy trying to catch up on new releases and other things…

On Friday, Cornish Heritage Farms will release the very first Saturday Evening Post “unmounted set”, Vintage Butterflies…lots of lovely butterflies with several words and sentiments.

Here I cut into the last sheet of my favorite Wild Asparagus paper.  The two pink strips on the sides are the back side of the brown/floral print.  I can’t even waste LILOTCUthe scraps.  I stamped the butterfly onto Natural cardstock, colored it with markers and very lightly sponged over the whole thing with Walnut Stain Distriss ink, then sponged the edges and ran the pad around the wings.  The center (body) is glued to the card front and I added a double stack of foam squares beneath each side.

Thanks so much for stopping by, even when I was gone.  I really appreciate it!  🙂  Have a great day!
