Ahoy Matey!

Since it’s almost the end of October, I thought I’d post one more sample using Ahoy Matey, Cornish Heritage Farms’ Stamp of the Month.  I don’t usually say this about most of my cards, but I **love** how this one turned out.

Yo Matey!

Maybe it’s the distressing…or the stitching (I stitched the little treasure path on the map)…or my little pirate parrot (who isn’t afraid to wear pink)…I just really like it.

YMCU4You can see the detail a little more clearly here.  I popped up his wing, used a gold glitter pen on his earring, and only attached his body to the patterned paper allowing his hat and tail to “lift” off the paper.

I think I’ll head off to bed now.  My little guy was up several times last night with a severely sore throat.  Yes, strep.    Hopefully he’ll get a better night’s sleep tonight. Tomorrow’s agenda…snuggling on the couch.  🙂

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy your day…or night…or both. 🙂
