Shoes, anyone?

Good morning!  I’m off and running to get ready for a kindergarden field trip so I apologize for the short, choppy post.

Today brings two new releases to The Rummage Bin at Cornish Heritage Farms.  Yesterday I posted a sample using Boys Will be Boys and today I have a couple samples using The Shoe Boutique

To Walk a Mile

TWAMR1

As you know, I love shabby/ vintage so that’s what I decided to do here.  I dusted off my much-neglected Prismascolor pencils for this image, sponged, distressed the edges and stitched around the outer border of the card.

Cardstock:  Prism Natural Smooth and Suede Brown Dark   Patterned Paper:  My Mind’s Eye Wild Asparagus “My Grandpa”   Stamps:  “The Shoe Boutique” from The Rummage Bin at CHF    Ink:  Jet Black Stazon; Walnut Stain Distress by Ranger   Accessories:  Prismacolor Pencils, Weber Turpenoid Natural, Karen Foster thumbtack brads, sewing machine, sponge, edge distresser.  Card size 5 ½” x 4 ¼”.

This card is a simpler design.  I used the scallop blade in my Fiskars Rotary Trimmer for the two scalloped edges then used a big needle to poke a hole in each scallop.  The strip across the center is a sticker.  The shoes were colored with ink and a waterbrush, and I sponged the edges with distress ink.

Cardstock:  Prism Natural Smooth   Patterned Paper:  My Mind’s Eye Tres Jolie JeT’aime with matching “French Border” sticker strip  Stamps:  “The Shoe Boutique” from The Rummage Bin at CHF    Ink:  Adirondack Pitch Black, Mountain Rose and Salmon by Ranger; Tattered Rose Distress by Ranger   Accessories:  SEI buttons, gray Copic marker (for shading),white string, Fiskars Rotary Trimmer with scallop blade, pop dots, water brush.  Card size 4 ¼” x 4 ¼”.

I used the less “trendy” images in this set, but there are also pumps, sling-backs, high-heeled boots and a baby boy image along with many other sentiments.  If you’re a shoe person, you’ll want to check out this set for sure!

Have a great day and thanks so much for looking! 🙂
