Why are Pirates Called “Pirates”?

Hello everyone! It’s time for another challenge with Stamping Bella! This week the team is revisiting older, a.k.a. “vintage,” images. I chose super-sweet Tiny Townie Pirate.

Isn’t she the sweetest? I love her little patched flag.  And the sentiment is too cute.  🙂

More from Queen & Company’s new Garden Party Shaker Kit

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing three more cards using Queen & Company‘s adorable new Garden Party Shaker Kit. You can find the first three cards I posted here.

On my first card, I decided to create a little bird house using the foam pieces without creating a shaker.  I like the dimension.  And the little bird.  🙂

I used Foundations Dies #4 (back in stock!) to die-cut the sentiment piece and added Polka Dot enamel dots to the flower centers.

Next I created a shaker wheel barrow, adding die-cut tools and seed packets.

Inside the shaker I used only toppings included in the kit.

And lastly, a boot with flowers.

Again, I used only toppings from the kit.

You can find all things Garden Party (kit, refills, etc.) in the Queen & Company shop HERE.  Also available is Garden Party Solids, a paper pad of 24 double-sided sheets of solid paper, perfectly coordinating with Garden Party patterned paper. Also, I highly recommend Sheer Glue for adhering paper and embellishments over acetate. It’s my favorite to use with the shakers.

Thanks so much for visiting today!

A Bit More from the New Release (and a cute bunny)

Hello everyone! This week the Stamping Bella team is revisiting the latest release. I love the release so it was pure pleasure for me to do so.  I actually chose two.

First I used Oddball Marie Antoinette. I think she’s fabulous and the two sentiments that come with the image are pretty great also.  🙂 I colored her in reds and pink, matching Queen & Company‘s Happy Hearts patterned paper.

I paired her with Q&C’s Vintage Truck-Sweater Weather patterned paper. To the right, I adhered a couple of Taylored Expressions’ All Wrapped Up die-cut packages.

Stamping Bella Ella Loves Easter

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Use any current Stamping Bella image. (No restrictions.) All challenge details can be found HERE.

Hello, Dandy Lion (new from Stamping Bella)

Hello everyone! It’s the final day of Spring previews featuring Stamping Bella‘s latest release.  All images will be available for sale tomorrow morning and I can’t wait! I haven’t seen everything so I’m as excited as some of you!

Today the team is featuring designs using a new character, Dandy Lion. I think you’ll like him!

All of my samples were stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers.

Hello Dandy Lion

Stamping Bella Hello Dandy Lion

Copic markers – E30, E31, E71, R000, W1, W3

I *love* Hello Dandy Lion! This particular image is my absolute favorite of the bunch (from those I’ve seen so far).  I stamped him and his coordinating sentiment, colored his face and hands with markers, then stamped again onto a page ripped from an old book. (I got the book from a freebie bin at a used book store. One old encyclopedia is enough to last a lifetime!) I then very carefully cut out his mane, glued over the first stamped image and added shading with Copic markers. I also added white highlights to the “bubbles” using a Kirarina Wink White Pearl pen.

Dandy Lion Protector of Hearts

Stamping Bella Dandy Lion Protector of Hearts

Copic markers – BG000, C00, C1, C2, E30, E31, E33, E35, E37, R01, V0000, V000

Next is Dandy Lion Protector of Hearts.  After coloring, I added a bit of Diamond Stickles to his wings, adhered a couple of Paper Smooches small clouds and matted over Queen & Company‘s Simple Stripes patterned paper.

Out of This World Dandy

Stamping Bella Out of This World Dandy

With Out of This World Dandy I colored onto kraft paper and added white highlights with my White Pearl pen.

In the set the stamp is actually one horizontal line. Also included is the Lincoln quote, “The better part of one’s life consists of one’s friendships.” He was matted onto (older) Doodlebug Designs Patriotic Picnic paper. Enamel shapes are also by Doodlebug (and old).

Sweet (discontinued) Easter

Hello, hello! It’s time for another challenge with Stamping Bella! This week we were to use older, a.k.a. “vintage,” images. Unfortunately, I chose not only one but TWO discontinued images. Yep. I am totally out of it this week. Terrible. So while neither count toward the challenge, I thought I’d share them anyway…just because. (Next week I’ll be certain to use current images!!  Sheesh.)

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Becky Loves Bunnies

First, I colored Tiny Townie Becky Loves Bunnies.  I used a current Easter Sentiment and discontinued flowers and patterned paper from Queen & Company.

Stamping Bella Row of Bunny Wobbles

Copic markers – C00, C1, R000, RV11, RV32

After I colored the first discontinued image, I thought “I’ll make a quick Row of Bunny Wobbles!  Yep…discontinued also. *shaking my head*  I used another (current) Easter Sentiment with some heart buttons from Queen & Company.

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

In Dog Years…

Hello everyone! I hope your week has gone well. It’s been quiet here, which is perfect for me.

This week the Stamping Bella team is sharing samples using the March Stamp of the Month, Golden, Wolfhound & Bulldog. The set includes three separate pup images and is available through March 31, 2021 at 50% off.

Stamping Bella Golden, Wolfhound & Bulldog

After stamping onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloring with Copic markers, I used a craft knife to cut along the left and right sides of the dog where I then inserted a Dog Sentiment strip.

Stamping Bella Golden, Wolfhound & Bulldog (close-up)

Queen & Company’s NEW Garden Party Shaker Kit

Hello everyone! I have a super fun and very “Springy” post to share today. Queen & Company has a new shaker kit, and it is perfect for creating cheery cards to wash away all the drabiness of winter.

Queen & Company Garden Party Shaker Kit

The new Garden Party Shaker Kit includes 36 steel dies, a lovely 6×6 patterned paper pad, a coordinating 4×6 clear stamp set, 21 foam/acetate shakers and 12 shaker toppings. It’s sooo cute and so much fun!

Queen & Company Garden Party Shaker Kit - Wagon

How cute is that wagon??? I used the coordinating Garden Party Outline Die to die-cut the base outline shape of the wagon. The outline dies are not required; they just make it easier to cut the base for the inside of the shaker. Sometimes I simply trace the base die shape and then trim to fit. (Clear as mud?)

Queen & Company Garden Party Shaker Kit - Wagon (close-up)

Behind the wheels and a couple of the flowers, I used foam squares cut from the negative leftover foam pieces. I also placed a gold Petite Posie in the center of each flower.

Queen & Company Garden Party Shaker Kit - Watering Can w/Flowers

Next, I created a watering can and flowers, layering atop a scalloped die from Foundations Dies #2.

Queen & Company Garden Party Shaker Kit - Watering Can w/Flowers (close-up)

Inside each flower center and scattered around the sentiment I placed some black Polka Dot Epoxy Dots. I love them. (The Polka Dot bundle is on sale if you love them too!)

Queen & Company Garden Party Shaker Kit - Window Box w/tulips

I also created a cute window box full of tulips. Check out the dirt shaker toppings. *Love*

Queen & Company Garden Party Shaker Kit - Window Box w/tulips (close-up)

I again placed some foam pieces behind a few of the tulips and stitched a heart button onto the die-cut hand trowel.

You can find all things Garden Party (kit, refills, etc.) in the Queen & Company shop HERE.  Note that also available is Garden Party Solids, a paper pad of 24 double-sided sheets of solid paper, perfectly coordinating with Garden Party patterned paper. As an additional note, I highly recommend Sheer Glue for adhering paper and embellishments over acetate. Of my handful of adhesives, I find that it works best. Just my opinion.  🙂

I’ll be back soon with three more fun cards using this kit!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
