Hello everyone. I hope you’re having a great week. This summer is flying by for me. I feel like it will be September in the blink of an eye.
I’m popping in today to share this week’s challenge with Stamping Bella. We were to use any “vintage” image, which means anything not from the latest release. Speaking of the latest release, have you seen it? If not, you can check it out here. The Tiny Townies are my favorite. 🙂
For my card this week, I chose to keep things simple, using The Littles Ice Cream & Lemonade Set with coordinating dies.
I first masked off an area (using Post It Tape) where I blended in sand and sky, then I used Paper Smooches’ Borders 1 to die-cut and raise the Summer Sentiment wavy strip.
All images were stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. After die-cutting, the sentiment strip and sun were popped up on foam squares to add a bit of dimension. Once the girl and ice cream were adhered, I added a few white Petite Posies by Queen & Company.
Also, this week in Instagram I posted the following two cards.
^Uptown Zodiac Girl Gemini with a sentiment from Marching Chicks. I had die-cut a heart from a scrap strip of patterned paper earlier in the week and liked the negative space left behind. That’s how I got the idea to die-cut the heart here, leaving the white to show through.
^Honeybear Stuffies. Before coloring the image, I blended in a bit of blue sky, then once colored, I adhered a few flower shaped Wood Toppings.
