MFT Previews, thankful

Hi everyone!    I’m back today with another sample of MFT‘s September release. Today I used two new Die-namics sets, Words of Gratitude and Falling Leaves.

thankful-475

After  cutting the leaves from X-Press It Blending Card, I used my Copic Air Brush and Copic markers to color the leaves.  The heart was cut from the red leaf using new Mason Jar Die-namics and “thankful” was cut from Hot Fudge card stock.

I *love* the embossed detail in the leaves.  (And I love my air brush!)

Inside, I stamped a small sentiment from Thankful Thoughts  (which coordinates with Words of Gratitude) and added a fourth airbrushed leaf.

MFT Previews, PB&J

Hi everyone!  Welcome to another day of MFT September previews!  Today I’ve used super-cute new Pure Innocence Peanut Butter & Jelly along with Blueprints 19 and Mini Chicken Wire Background.

PBJ-500

The girl was die-cut from X-Press It Blending Card using PI Peanut Butter & Jelly Die-namics, stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored with Copic markers.  White dashes and dots were added using a white Signo pigment pen.

MFT Previews, Diagonal Bars with Cute Critters

Hi everyone!  We’re moving right along with only four more days until MFT‘s September Release!  🙂  My card today features new Diagonal Bars Stencil, Out On a Limb Die-namics and Miss Tiina’s Cute Critters.

You-Stole-My-Heart-475

Using an embossing mat, I embossed Diagonal Bars into Smooth White card stock.  I think it adds just enough texture.  And looks kind of like a sweater.

I used the tree from Out On a Limb as a branch and hung a Paver Red heart cut from Mason Jar Die-namics.  The raccoon was cut from X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers.

You-Stole-My-Heart-CU

Inside, I added one of the cute sentiments from the set.

MFT Sept. Previews, You Make Life Sweet

Hi everyone!  I’m back today with another preview of My Favorite Things‘ September 16 release!  (Only five more days!)  Today I’ve used a couple of *really* cute new Die-namics sets with a coordinating stamp set – Mason Jar Mug and Mason Jar Die-namics with Mason Jar Labels stamp set.  There are lots of little accessories to place in the mug/jar.  SO cute!  I also used Blueprints 19 and Small Brick Wall Stencil.

You-Make-Life-Sweet-500r

After embossing the brick wall onto Kraft card stock, I swiped over the bricks with Sweet Tooth pigment ink.  The stripes were created using Pin Stripe Background with Pink Lemonade ink, then again using Sno Cone.

Inside, I added a thin leftover strip of stripes, a couple more hearts and a sentiment from Cheerful Blessings.

MFT Sept. Previews – Class Act

Hi everyone!  Welcome back to a second day of September 16 release previews with My Favorite Things!  Today I’ve used new Birdie Brown Class Act with coordinating Die-namics as well as new Blueprints 19.

You-Rule-500

After die-cutting the girl from X-Press It Blending Card, I stamped her in Black Licorice Hybrid ink and colored with Copic markers.  She’s adhered over a base of Writing Tablet Background, stamped in Sno Cone onto Smooth White card stock.  All elements, except the girl and ruler, are pieces of Blueprints 19.

You-Rule-CU

I added another base of Writing Tablet Background to the inside, stamping a sentiment and stack of books from the Class Act stamp set.

MFT Sept. Previews, Out On a Limb

Hi everyone, and welcome to the first day of September previews with My Favorite Things!  First though, I want to make sure you’re aware of the BIG sale going on in the NEW MFT Boutique!  Through tonight, save 25% off of everything!  Check it out!

Today I have two cards to share using Lisa Johnson’s Out On a Limb stamp set and coordinating Die-namics.

First I created a tree, tied with a yellow ribbon.  (It’s an ole oak tree.  Now that song can be stuck in your head too.)  😉  (I’m showing my age…)

Thinking-of-You-Bless-You-600

The tree was cut from Kraft card stock with the leaves cut from Gumdrop Green.  A few of the leaves were cut a second time and popped up on clear foam squares (which I cut in half to fit the leaves).

The tiny leaves on each side of the sentiment are stamped in Gumdrop Green ink and the scalloped edge was cut using new Blueprints 19.

Thinking-of-You-Bless-You-CU

Inside, I added a sentiment from Words of Inspiration.

Thinking-of-You-Bless-You-In

Next, I created a thank you card using Out on a Limb, Diamonds and Dots Border and the apple from new Birdie Brown Class Act.

Thank-You-Teacher-475

After die-cutting the apple from X-Press It Blending Card, I stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored with Copic markers, punched holes to create a button, then covered the apple with Glossy Accents.  Once dried, I tied onto the card using hemp cord.  (The tiny Wild Cherry apples are covered with Glossy Accents as well.)

Thank-You-Teacher-CU

Inside, I added a second strip of text dots and a sentiment from Sending Thanks.

Christmas Blessings

Hi everyone!  Can you believe Christmas is less than four months away?  It will be here before we know it!   My card today uses one of Paper Smooches‘ latest releases, Blessed Christmas.  I {heart} the images in this set.

After die-cutting the shape from X-Press It Blending Card (using Blessed Icons dies), I paper-pieced a few areas then colored/shaded with Copic markers.  The hearts were cut using new Stitched Frames Dies with the left heart popped up on foam tape.

Christmas-Blessings-CU

One Christmas card down, about 24 left to go!  (eek!) Thanks for stopping by today!  I’ll be back very soon.  🙂

Additional supplies/info:  Copic markers (E00, E11, E50, E51, E53, BV000, R01, R02, E08, E09, E47, E40, E41, E43), Lilly Bee Design Jingle 6×6, Recollections rhinestones, crochet trim, corner rounder).  Finished size 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2.

A Little Bit of Versatility

Hi everyone!  The other day I used summer themed patterned paper to create a Christmas tag (here) using the latest Paper Smooches releases.  Today I’ve used Christmas dies/stamps to create a baby card.  You know I like to think outside of the box, and it’s always nice to see just how far you can stretch your supplies.  🙂

Sending-Blessings-475

I began by die-cutting the stars and “‘string” lines from Stitched Frame Dies into a block of Ranger Watercolor paper.  After dampening the star with a waterbrush, I added MFT’s Sno Cone ink, gently spreading the color to the dotted lines.  Once dry, I colored over the stars with MFT’s Sheer Sparkle Glitter Glaze.

I used Sno Cone ink again to stamp the sentiment then clear embossed.

Sending-Blessings-CU

Once the panel was complete, I adhered it to the patterned paper using foam tape and added a few Doodlebug adhesive pearls.

Thanks for visiting!
