Happy New Year…and Big MFT News!

Happy New Year, everyone!  I can’t believe how fast this last year has gone!  (I think I say that every year though.)  Tomorrow we begin another week of amazing MFT release peeks.  AND… there’s a b-i-g, really exciting announcement on the MFT blog today.  Check it out!  (We’re all thrilled!)  🙂

On my card today, I’ve used one of our latest releases, Champagne Glass Die-namics along with Celebratory Greetings DN.   The Smooth White background was embossed using the Fleur de Lis stencil and embossing pad. The “champagne” is Pink Lemonade, and I added fizzy bubbles using white Enamel Accents.  The “to you” portion of the greeting was taken from Celebrate Big, available with the January release.  (Did I mention previews begin tonight?  Eeee!)  🙂

Inside, I added a second champagne glass and die-cut greeting from Celebratory Greetings.

I wish everyone a very safe and very Happy New Year!  I’ll see you tonight with the first of seven peeks at MFT’s January release!   (Don’t forget to check out the annoucement!)

Our Friendship is Tweet

Hi everyone!  I wanted to pop in to say Merry Christmas and to share one final card for the year.  It isn’t Christmas-themed but friendship.  I’ve made so many friends through this craft and I am thankful for every single one, near and far.

Today I’ve used Friendship is Tweet from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.  I stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers.  To add dots to the cheeks, I used Copic Opaque White and a tiny paint brush.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday.  Hugs!

You Warm My Heart

Hi everyone!  With all the craziness of the holidays, I had to take some time for some color therapy.  It makes me happy.  🙂  Today I’ve used this week’s Wednesday Stamp Club sketch and Pure Innocence Snow Day from My Favorite Things.

She was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics.  I used Sno Drifts Die-namics to create the curved layers, Falling Snowflakes and Blueprints 1 for the sentiment strip.  A large Paver Red button was stitched to the side using hemp cord.

I ran the tip of a black marker along the Snow Drift edges to define the layers.

Inside I stamped the image in Steel Grey ink.

Here’s the sketch if you’d like to play along.  You can find all the details, including how you can win up to $20 in MFT cashHERE on the MFT blog.

Be sure to check out MFT’s  H-U-G-E  RETIREMENT SALE.   And I mean HUGE.  Huge list, huge savings —  75% off!

And one final bit of info, if you haven’t yet checked out Copic in the Classroom on Facebook, please do so.  GREAT tips, pics videos and Copic talk.  🙂

Hi ma

Hi everyone. 🙂  Today I’m sharing a super simple and cute (I think) card I made for my  mom.  She has a lot of heavy “stuff” going on and so even though I talk to her often, I wanted to send a little surprise smile in the mail.

I used this absolutely adorable goat from  Green Acres stamp set by Paper Smooches.

He was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.  The horizontal floral strip was die-cut using MFT’s Washi Tape Die-namics and the sentiment was stamped onto a small tab cut using Blueprints 5.

I stitched a Kraft button onto the sentiment strip using hemp cord then mounted the assembled piece onto Sweet Tooth card stock using X-Press It Foam tape.  I think it will make her smile.  🙂

I’ll be back soon with another card using my daughter’s favorite stamp from the Green Acres set, the cow.  🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

Copic markers:  E40, E41, E42, E43, E50, E53, R20, R21, C00, C1, C3, C5.  Finished size 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″.

I have four cards to share today, all using new Wendy Burns Designs Best Friends.  On all, the girl was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics.

My first sample uses Best Friends with this month’s “Free with $60 Purchase,” Celebrate Big.  Sparkles were added to the girl’s dress and bow using an orange Atyou Spica glitter pen.  Along the bottom, I added Washi Pattern flags stamped in Orange Fizz and new Insulation Pink ink onto Smooth White and Insulation Pink card stock.  The horizontal strip and flag shapes are from Blueprints 2 with the small wood heart button from Blueprints 8.

Inside, I stamped a sentiment from Best Friends and hung a few more flags.

Next, I used Best Friends with Celebrate Big and Party Banner Die-namics.   I used a card base of Insulation Pink, then layered the image and die-cut the Party Banner strip from Bubblegum card stock.  The small hearts were cut from Insulation Pink card stock using Blueprints 8.  (This one is my favorite of the four.)  🙂

Inside, I stamped a silhouette and second sentiment from Celebrate Big using Black Licorice ink.

Next, I used elements from new Blueprints 10, a few from Blueprints 8, a sentiment from another Wendy Burns Design set – Stylish Friends, as well as a Sentiment Strip.

Inside, I used another sentiment from Stylish Friends as well as a tiny heart button from Blueprints 8.

Lastly, I used Best Friends along with new Blueprints 10 and Blueprints 4.

Inside,  I added a silhouette, coloring in only the bow to add just a bit of interest.

MFT December Previews — UR the Best

Hi everyone!  Welcome to another day of MFT December previews!  My sample uses Laina’s new To the Point stamp set and Die-namics as well as Typewriter Text Background.

I used Paver Red ink to stamp the Striped Background onto Natural card stock, then stamped and clear embossed the Black Licorice finger and sentiment.  The finger was die-cut and raised on foam tape.

Inside, I adhered a strip of Typewriter Text Background and stamped a sentiment from Sending Thanks.

MFT December Previews – hot dog!

It’s time for another sample from MFT‘s December release!  Today I used brand new Wendy Burns Designs Best Friends…with a bit of a twist.

I thought this might be cute to give for a puppy graduation from obedience training.  I placed both dogs on an acrylic block and stamped repeatedly onto Kraft card stock using Chocolate Brown ink.  I then stamped new Typewriter Text Background over the dogs using Kraft ink.  I “hung” a Pet Charm and die-cut small open circles from Blueprints 9, adhered to the ribbon.

Inside, I used an extra strip of the puppy pattern and stamped another sentiment from the Best Friends set.

MFT December Previews – Get Well

Hi everyone!  I’m back with another sample from MFT‘s December 10 release. Today I’ve used new Moroccan Tile Trio Die-namics with Get Well Wishes stamp set.

This one was super quick and super easy.  I used a base of Bubblegum card stock then cut three Moroccan Tile strips, one each from Bubblegum, Pink Lemonade and new Insulation Pink.  Each was adhered to a panel of Smooth White card stock.  The sentiment was stamped using Sweet Tooth pigment ink and white embossed.

I love the subtle color changes between three colors of card stock.

Inside, I adhered a couple more strips of  Moroccan Tile and stamped/white embossed a second sentiment from Get Well Wishes.

The sentiment was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copics and then die-cut with new Stitched Circle STAX.  Beneath the circle is the larger of the two Dizzy Doily Duo Die-namics and the buttons are new Insulation Pink.
