Mod Thanks – A Preview

Hi everyone.  Just popping in with another peek at two more fun sets being released by My Favorite Things on Tuesday, April 9th.  🙂

My cards today feature Laina’s new Mod Borders along with Lisa’s Sweet Roses, one masculine (and rather southwestern-ish), one feminine.

On my first card, I used a Hot Fudge cardstock base, a sentiment from Sweet Roses with the zig-zag strip from Mod Borders.

I stamped onto Smooth White cardstock using Black Licorice ink then colored in the stripes with Copic markers.  (Is anyone else seeing these stripes in 3d?  Those lower points just pop right out toward me.)

On the inside, I simply added another strip of stripes.  I’ll be sending this card to my in-laws (in Arizona)  to thank them for housing us (with a sick child) for nine days.

Next I used a card base of Electric Red with an accent of Black Licorice, a second of Laina’s Mod Borders along with some flowers from Lisa’s Sweet Roses.

The flowers and leaves were stamped onto Smooth White cardstock using Electric Red and Gumdrop Green inks.  After stamping the outlines using Black Licorice, I die-cut the elements using Lisa’s coordinating Roses & Leaves Die-namics.

The smaller flower is popped up on foam tape.

On the inside, I stamped a second border strip, stamped the flower, masked and stamped the leaves.

Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for release details, (BIG) prize information and additional inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by today!  🙂
