Thanks for the Hospitality

Hi everyone!  I’m back today with this week’s Wednesday Stamp Club sketch with My Favorite Things.

I hadn’t yet inked up Cowboy at Heart, new in the à la modes line, so that’s the set I chose to use today.  I wanted a somewhat “long” sentiment (longer than one or two words anyway) to fill the space so I chose this one from Cowgirl at Heart (Cowboy’s companion).  🙂

I stamped and colored my cowboy onto X-Press It Blending Card, cut him out and adhered him over the layered Oval STAX 1 and 2.  (It’s a bit “belt buckle-ish,” don’t you think?)

I used my piercing guide, piercer and a marker to create the faux stitching.

I finished the inside very simply by stamping a silhouette of the cowboy and a shorter coordinating sentiment from the set onto Natural cardstock.  Both sentiments and the silhouette were stamped in Black Licorice ink.

<—Here’s the sketch if you’d like to play along. You can find direct links to more samples HERE.  And remember, if you upload your card to the SCS gallery using the keyword MFTWSC110, you will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money!  One winner is chosen at random each week.  More info can be found in the MFT Forum in SCS.

Thanks for visiting!
