Clean and Simple — EEK!

Hi everyone!  It’s time for another challenge with Kraftin Kimmie.  This week Donna has tortured us asked us (lol) to create a card with no embellishments.  Nothing.  No brads, buttons or bows.  No flowers, flourishes or fancy doo-dads of any kind.  Nothing.  IMPOSSIBLE (for me)!  Just kidding.  I did my best.  🙂

Wishing You Good Fortune

I had not yet used my image of Natsuko so I decided to get her inky.  (Sentiment comes with Kimiko.)  Not only did I use no embellishments, but there was very little to color as well.

I pieced her dress and the lantern, popping up the lantern on a foam booster for added interest.  Everything still looked a little (lot) plain to me, so I added a border using a Copic multiliner.  (Idea is from one of Colleen‘s cards in her new Copic Coloring Guide.)

To see more “unembellished” samples, please check out the Krafty Blog here.  If you decide to play along, be sure to post a link to your creation there on the Krafty Blog for your chance to win a free stamp from Kraftin Kimmie!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!
