I Like it Hot

Hi everyone!  I’ve been incredibly busy with the last bits of school and trying to fit things in before the house is crazy (kids home).  But I did manage to get my sketch card completed this week for the Wednesday Stamp Club with My Favorite Things.  Whew.  (When will it slow down?  My head’s been spinning.)

I Like It Hot!

This week I chose to use Sunbathing Flopsey from our latest release.  Once I stamped him though, I just couldn’t let him lie there all naked, so I gave him some pants.  (Poor guy.  He really needs a wardrobe…)

For the pants, I simply stamped that portion of Flopsey onto the patterned paper, drew in a waistline and the edges of his shorts then cut out the piece and adhered.

I die-cut the sun shape using MFT’s Sunshine Die-namics and used a 1″ circle punch for the center.  The orange circle is layered upon two circles punched from tablet backing (an easy way to add a bit of dimension).

Also on the front I used the smaller of the two doilies from Dainty Doily Duo as well as Simpy Scallops Medium for the scalloped border.

On the inside, I die-cut another sun and used the “Hot!” sentiment from WTG Fiesta!

You can find direct links to DT samples HERE on the MFT blog.  The info is also posted in the MFT Forum in SCS.  (Look for the most recent WSC thread numbered 24.)   And remember, if you upload your card to the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch, you will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money!  One winner is chosen at random each week.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!
