Be sure to check out the Krafty Blog for more previews!  I’ll be back tomorrow (actually very late tonight-1 a.m. EST) for Kimmie’s Release Hop & Shop. See you then!  🙂

 What’s Cookin’?

This month Annie has come up with the CUTEST Everyday Girls.   My sample today uses Agnes.  She comes along with two sentiments and a little accessory image of cookies.  So fun!

Hi everyone!  The Krafty Girls and Guests are back today sharing more samples of Kraftin Kimmie’s March release.  All of the new images will be available Sunday, March 13th.

Today we’re using new Steven Leary images.  There are five and they’re ALL pirates! 🙂

Happy Birthday Ya Seadog!

Meet Cap’n Charlie.  Isn’t he cute?

I colored with Copics, added ground with pencils, stitched a few cross-stitches here and there and popped up the flag just a bit.

You can see the flag better here.  After cutting it out, I bent it up slightly on the right then applied glue only to the left side (attached to the flagpole).

You can find direct links to all of today’s Krafty samples HERE on the Krafty Blog.

The Heart Afraid of Breaking

I made my card kind of scrappy…and super quick and easy.  (Mojo missing…If you see it, please let me know.)

Getting Sketchy, Week 10

Hello.  🙂  It’s time for Wednesday Stamp Club with My Favorite Things.  As I did a couple weeks ago, I made two cards.  The first one I didn’t (don’t) really like, but I’ll show it to you anyway…after the one I (kind of) do like.

It’s been a bad week for mojo.

For my first card, I turned the rectangular box on the sketch into a birdhouse and the vertical strip into a tree.

I used MFT’s Upsy Daisy Flower Builder Die-namics to create the daisies and the Hearts a Plenty Die-namics to create the little heart “sign.”

The “Tweet” on the heart sign and the inside sentiment are from You’re So Tweet and the tiny bird is from Out On a Limb (both Pure Innocence sets).

Hey Sweet Stuff

(I made the picture smaller because I don’t like the card. I thought about “thumbnail sizing it” but I didn’t want to be TOO negative.  However, if you click on the scary picture, you can see it larger and more clearly.)

I used the super-fun new Sassy & Sweet set.  I felt like the sentiment panel was too much empty white(ish) color so I stamped a few flourishes around the edges.  Then I decided that still wasn’t enough so I added the rhinestone flourish.  Now, it’s too much. **shrugging**

To create the rosette, I used MFT’s 1/4″ Rosette Die-namics.  (I am seriously rosette-challenged so please don’t look to0 closely.)  I tried layering two different patterns.  I had pieces popping up and flopping around all over the place.  It just was not a good day for rosettes.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from Polka Dot Greetings.  (I like the inside better than the outside. It’s not so busy.)

SO….if you’ve made it through all of THAT, here’s what you need to know about Wednesday Stamp Club.

You can find direct links to more DT samples HERE on the MFT Blog.  The info is also posted in the MFT forum on SCS.  (Look for the most recent WSC thread numbered 10).  And remember, if you upload your card in the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch, you will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money!  One winner is chosen at random each week.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Thanks Ever So Much

Hi everyone!  I’m back today with another of my recent pub submissions.  When I saw this sketch, it reminded me of a quilt, so that’s the look I decided to go for.

Thanks Ever So Much

Here I used Pretty Phrases by Paper Smooches. Other than the sentiment strip, the papers were all scraps that I had saved from other projects. Quick and simple.

Now I better get busy on my Kraftin Kimmie samples which begin TOMORROW!  Eek!  I hate waiting until the last moment.  Next week I’ll share two more of my submissions.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day! 🙂

Stamps:  Paper Smooches “Pretty Phrases”   Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black    Paper:  Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream (base), MME Stella & Rose Mabel (6×6)   Accessories:   Foam boosters.   Finished size 4″ x 5 1/4″.

You’re an All-Star!

Hello.  I hope everyone had a nice weekend.  The weather here was beyond dreary and last night I was afraid the siding was going to blow off the sides of the house but today the sun is shining, and that’s a good thing.  🙂

Here’s another sketch I tried for PC’s last call. I thought this  All-Star à la modes girl from My Favorite Things worked perfectly for the layout.  (Just my opinion, of course.)
You’re An All-Star!

I *really* liked this one and was so disappointed it was not picked up.

I stamped the girl directly onto the lined paper and colored lightly with Copics.

I mimicked the layout on the inside, leaving plenty of room for a congratulatory note.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another “reject”, then it’s time for Kraftin Kimmie previews.  (My favorite release….so far!)  😉

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Stamps:  My Favorite Things “All Star” (à la modes)   Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black   Paper:  Papertrey Vintage Cream, Prism Birchtone Dark, My Mind’s Eye Stella & Rose “Hattie” (6×6)    Accessories:   Copic markers (E000, E31, E35, BG0000, C00, C1).    Finished size 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.
