It’s JiFFy Time!!

Hi everyone!  It’s time for my JiFFy friends to get together once again for our JiFFy challenge!  (JiFFy as in Just For Fun.)

This month Lori sent to everyone this yummy warm “Cinnamon” paper from Cosmo’s Nutmeg collection.  It was my turn to pick the image, but before I had given it much thought, Kim (from My Favorite Things) graciously offered to sponsor us this month, providing a Pure Innocence set to everyone in the group.  I chose Snow Day.  (Thank you SO much, Kim!)  I love all the Pure Innocence images so I was thrilled to be using this one for our challenge.  🙂

You Warm my Heart

I stamped my girl onto an MFT Cream Perfect Paper Panel, colored with Copics and then added lots of texture with crocheted lace trim, a felt button, scallopy border and some faux stitching.

Be sure to check out what the other JiFFy girls did with this same paper and image!  I can’t wait to see!  🙂

A Pure Innocence Preview

Hi everyone.  Today the My Favorite Things design team, along with some very special guests, are previewing four new Pure Innocence images to be released Wednesday, December 2nd.   Here I’ve used Heart Stripes.

Best Friends

   MFTBF440

Totally inspired by my friend, Jody, I decided to create a little address/ phone number/memento book for my daughter.

I stamped the girl twice onto a cream Perfect Paper Panel, masking the right side of the left girl so I could stamp the second image very close.  If I could have made the girls hugging one another and jumping up and down (while screaming), that would have been more appropriate as my daughter and her friends are the HUGGIEST (and ‘screaming-est’) bunch of girls I’ve EVER seen.  But we’ll have to settle for them standing side by side (silently).

The sentiment “Best Friends” was stamped onto one of the die cuts that came with the My Mind’s Eye Be-Loved paper pack.  The lace trim hides two hinges.

I stitched a little pocket to the bottoms of 16 pieces of cardstock (each cut to fit the pages of the album), alternating the patterns on each page.

  MFTBFIN440

The name/address cards are inserts which my daughter can rearrange as her “best friends” come and go.   And there’s room in each pocket for a little picture or other memento to go along with each of her friends.  (There are extra cards in the back.)  And if she decides she’d rather do something else with the book, that’s fine too.  With the inserts, she’s not limited to its purpose.

Be sure to check out Kim’s blog (HERE) after 11 a.m. this morning for direct links to more samples using this set plus three more.  They are all totally adorable.  🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Digi Robotos

Today My Favorite Things is previewing Truffles Flopsey, Love Machine and introducing four new robot digi-images.  I’ve used one of the four new robot images here.

You’re Out of This World

Aren’t they a cute couple?  The sentiment is from the Love Machine set, previously released as part of an MFT kit but soon to be available (Wednesday, 12/2) on its own.

I added some tiny brads in place of the little circles on the “man.”

     ofp

This is Drucilla.  I ***love*** her and all of her twistiness! 🙂  The sentiment is from the new Kimmie’s Sassy Phrases set.

Isn’t she CUTE??  I colored her with Copics and used tiny brads for the pin heads.

Your next stop in the hop is with the amazingly talented Paula Williamson.  I am 100% certain she has something to just dazzle your socks right off!

Thank you SO much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Love at First Sight

Time for some previews from the December My Favorite Things release!  🙂

Today we’re previewing Amanda Baird’s Love at First Sight.

I’m all Yours

    MFTAY

There’s a very slender, pretty girl in the set, but I decided to go with the pups this time.  (I like the tiny dog and hearts.)

I used a Fossil scalloped note card base, colored with Copics and added grass with Prismacolor pencils.  The chipboard heart was colored with a red Copic.

To see more previews using this very cute set, check out Kim’s blog HERE (after 11 a.m. EST).

I’ll be back tomorrow with a preview of a new digi stamp! 🙂

A Girl’s Gotta Do What a Girl’s Gotta Do

Hi everyone! Welcome to the second day of previews leading up to Kraftin Kimmie‘s December release (tomorrow)!  🙂

Today I’m sharing one of my favorites of the new images.  This is Josephine (otherwise known as Love Potion #9 Twisty Girl) from the Moonlight Whispers line.

Love Potion #9

    KKLPN9 2

Josephine comes along with an accessory stamp of a little love potion bottle (like the one she’s holding) and two sentiments, “Love Potion#9” and “I love you”.

On the inside, I’ve used a sentiment from Kimmie’s Sassy Phrases, one of two new sentiment sets.  (If you like the Twisty Girls, you’ll love these phrases. 🙂 )

       KKLPN9In

Also, this week’s challenge on the Krafty Blog is to incorporate texture on your card or project.  Be sure to add a link to your touchy/feely project on the challenge blog as one random winner will receive a Bonnie & Clyde image, one of the new December releases from Chrissy’s Cuties.

To see some touchy/feely cards 🙂 and direct links to more previews of tomorrows release, be sure to check out the Krafty Challenge Blog.

I’ll be back tomorrow for Kim’s big release hop with the Krafty Girls and some Krafty Friends.  🙂

A Kraftin Kimmie Preview

Hi everyone.  I hope all of my American friends had a fabulous Thanksgiving.  I did.  🙂

Today brings the first of the previews from Kraftin Kimmie‘s December release (which is Sunday, November 29th).   My sample today uses Daddy’s Little Girl from the new Cindy and Mindy line by artist Jean Grant.

Just Wanted to Say Hello

   KKDLG

I used a simple layout, adding a couple of dark brown felt flowers on the right.  I colored with Copics then added some ground/grass with Prismacolor pencils.

Since the front is pretty simple, I decided to go the same route on the inside.  The sentiment “Just Wanted to Say Hello” is from Kimmie’s Everday Sentiments set.  (There are two new sentiment sets with this release.  I’ll be using those in the next two days. 🙂  )

        KKDGIN

I’ll be back tomorrow with another sample, this time using one of the new Twisty Girls!  🙂  (You know how much I *love* them!)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Friendship and Sales

That’s a good combo, eh?

Friendship is the Best Gift

        MFTFBG

My card today uses Wrapped in Love, My Favorite Things’ November Who’s That Girl set.

I paper-pieced the dress, shoes and gift, slightly bending up the ends of the ribbon on the gift.  I used a short scrap of brown lace to tie around the mini clip and then added three tiny brads in the bottom right corner, placing the brads along the dots in the pattern.

The paper is from Basic Grey’s Nook & Pantry paper pad which you can find at Jacksonbelle Embellishments.  Head on over for 25% savings on everything in the store through Monday, November 30th!  All prices are already marked down so there’s no need for a code at checkout.  Also, for each order placed through the 30th, you will be entered into a drawing for a huge give-away valued at over $100.  You can check that out here.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I’ll be back on Friday with a preview from Kraftin’ Kimmie’s next release!   🙂

Have a SUPER Thanksgiving Day!

Stamps:  MFT “Wrapped in Love” (WTG)   Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black   Cardstock: Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate, MFT Perfect Paper Panel   Patterned PaperBasic Grey Nook & Pantry 6×6 paper pad   Accessories: Copic markers (E00, E57, W1, BG0000), Recollections mini brads, 1 ¼” and 1 3/8” circle punches, SU library clip, Webster’s Pages trim, dimensional boosters.  Finished size 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.

I prefer the phrase “Deal with it” BUT…

…it’s a REALLY cute stamp set!   I don’t often say “Suck it Up.”  And to be honest, if I’m in a bad mood and someone tells me to “Suck it up,” I get really annoyed.  But every once in a while, and if delivered in a good-humored kind of way, it can be funny.  I thought this set was super cute and I just had to have it.

Suck it Up

       CHFSIU

This is Domestic Love by Cornish Heritage Farms.  Lots of fun/quirky sayings along with vintage images.  (Would you consider “Suck it Up” quirky?  I’m calling it quirky.)

Isn’t that a cute vacuum with the little flowery bag?  Would a cute flowery vacuum entice me to vacuum more often?  Nah.  But I like it.  🙂

I’m off to get my daughter to gymnastics.  I’ve had a rather (mentally) stressful day and I need that hour to chill (plus I’m still not feeling 100%).  Hopefully it’ll be quiet in the “observation area.”

Have a good day and thanks for stopping by!

Stamps:  Cornish Heritage Farms “Domestic Love” (All Things Considered)   Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black   Cardstock: Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream   Patterned Paper:  October Afternoon Farm Fresh   Accessories:  Copic markers (B0000, B000, W00, W1, W3), Webster’s Pages trim, buttons, cream jute string, dimensional boosters.  Finished size 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.

A Couple More P.I. Girls

I have two quick little cards to share today.    On the first one I used some more of my favorite lace trim from my friend, Jody.  (I don’t know what I’ll do when it’s gone…and it almost is. 🙁 )

I’m Sorry

    MFTPIIS2

After stamping the sentiment, I quickly clear embossed it to help it stand out a bit more on the patterned paper.  It doesn’t stand out as much as I’d like, but I think it’s ok.  This card was pretty quick and easy except for my insane idea to weave a thin sliver of dark brown cardstock in and out of the lace.  The next time I’ll color my white string with a brown marker and use a needle.

Thank You

            MFTTYAPI

Here I paper-pieced her dress and colored over the heart and apple with a clear glaze pen.

Thanks for stopping by!  I’ll be back tomorrow with…something.  I’m not quite sure what yet. 🙂  Have a great day!
