Too Cute to Spook

Not such a great morning here.  I’ve been up since 4:30 a.m. cleaning carpet and doing laundry.  I have a sick boy.  (How coincidental that he got a flu shot yesterday afternoon.  Hmmm….)  ICK!  It didn’t help to have a husband dry-heaving in the hallway.  He wanted to help but that was just NOT a help.  I thought I’d take a moment to distract myself.

As you can see, I’m getting a lot of mileage out of my Basic Grey Lemonade paper pad.   And, as with yesterday’s card, this was made before the sewing machine went bonkers.  I did manage to get that fixed (just in time to attach those Brownie patches…and whoever designed that really cute flower-shaped patch, should be reprimanded.  Obviously that person was NOT thinking of the moms stitching that thing onto the vests.  Four stitches, turn, four stitches, turn, etc.  What were they thinking??).  Anyway, it’s amazing what a new CLEAN needle will do for your stitches.  (Note to self:  Don’t stitch over adhesive.  That’s just not a good thing.)

MFTTCTSCUSee how this little girl’s head is tilted?  It isn’t really like that on the image but I do think it adds a bit more cuteness to her.  As I was cutting her out (she’s paper-pieced and popped up), I almost pulled her head right off her body.  I was afraid to do too much more maneuvering of the pieces so I just left her as is.  At least her head is still attached.  Little girl with no head…not so cute.

Ok…back to the carpet and laundry.  Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
