Wrap it Up and a DD Challenge

MPSI got an order from Papertrey Ink yesterday (mostly paper) but I did order a few of these tea tins and couldn’t wait to try one.  I tied it in with Julia’s WT challenge and this month’s Dirty Dozen challenge…to use penguins, no blue and “ice” (glitter, crystals, etc.).  To see other DD challenge cards and projects, click here.

I love this penguin paper from Imaginisce!   Unfortunately, I did not grab a pack of the matching rub-ons when I got all the paper and now they’re sold out.  But that’s ok. I just punched the penguins from the paper to use on tags.

I cut the dotted paper for the tin at 5 3/4″ x 9″ then layered the stripes and the penguins, zig-zagging along the borders.  I actually did not adhere the paper to the tin but wrapped it very tightly, sealing the edges with Tombow Mono Multi.  I went back and forth on whether to decorate the lid but decided in the end to leave it alone.  I added the ribbon, then the tag.  The little circle with the penguin is popped up on dimensionals.

MPCUThe paper already has some glitter on it, but I added some 3-d dots of Diamond Stickles to the hat trim and snowflakes.

The card was made the same way (as far as layering and stitching), then I added the stamped “Merry” to the penguin’s belly.

Thanks for stopping by!!  Have a great day!
