Aquarius Zodiac Girl and Crystal Balls

Hello everyone! It’s time for another challenge with Stamping Bella. Today we are featuring designs using Uptown Zodiac Girls. You may recall that Libra Uptown Zodiac Girl is our Stamp of the Month, 25% off through October 31. Today you can see other girls from the same category.

Stamping Bella Aquarius Uptown Zodiac Girl

I’ve used Aquarius Uptown Zodiac Girl. I stamped her onto X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copic markers (listed below the close-up photo) then masked her using two Post It Notes stuck together (to create a bigger mask).

Stamping Bella Aquarius Uptown Zodiac Girl (close-up)

Copic markers – E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, E31, E35, E40, E41, E43, N0, N1, N3, V91, V93, V95, Y21

Once masked, I blended over Folk Dance stencil using light blue/gray ink then removed the mask and stamped the sentiment from Tiny Townie Tiny Dancers. I die-cut a Deco Edge, adhered beneath the left edge then added a tiny pearl between each loop. Pearls were leftover from a flourish I’ve had forever.

Stamping Bella Crystal Ball Bundle Girl

Copic markers – B0000, B000, BV23, BV25, BV29, C00, C1, C3, E000, E00, E11, E04, E21, E31, E33, E35, V0000, V000, YG03, YG05, YG09

Also this week, I posted the above card in Instagram using new Crystal Ball Bundle Girl with a Unicorn Sentiment.  I adore the Bundle Girls.  🙂  Patterned paper is fun Fright Fest by Queen & Company. On the orange “moon,” I added a pattern of dots using a Kirarina Wink White Pearl pen.

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Use an image from the latest release.  If you’d like, email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog. By doing so, you’ll also be entered to win some Bella Bucks! All challenge details can be found HERE.

You Are a Blessing (paper smooches)

Hi everyone. I hope you enjoyed your weekend. It’s finally cooler here, feeling just a bit closer to fall. I love it.  🙂

Today I’m popping in to share another card created using new Paper Smooches dies and stencil.

Paper Smooches You Are a Blessing die, Essentials stencil, Laurels dies

This card came together so simply. I love that the new You Are a Blessing die is an easy focal point and new Essentials stencil creates a quick background.

I used Taylored Expressions’ Blender Brushes with Guava and Pineapple inks to create the background. I don’t have coordinating Guava card stock so I also blended that ink around the edges of my card base and onto a block for die-cutting the sentiment.

Paper Smooches You Are a Blessing die, Essentials stencil, Laurels dies (close-up)

After die-cutting the sentiment, I popped it up with foam tape over the inked background then added a few die-cut Laurels. As accents I adhered a few of Queen & Company‘s yellow Solid Goosebumps. They come in a variety of colors and are perfect little sparkly additions.  🙂

You can find all of Paper Smooches’ latest release HERE. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Warm Wishes and Fat Pants

Hello everyone. It’s time for another challenge with Stamping Bella. This week we’re using older images. I used one of my favorite Oddballs with an oh-so-true sentiment.  🙂

Stamping Bella Thanksgiving Oddball

I chose Thanksgiving Oddball. After stamping onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloring with Copic markers (listed below the close-up photo), I die-cut her with the coordinating die and adhered over a block of Queen & C0mpany‘s Happy Harvest patterned paper. I adhered the bottom portion of the image directly onto the paper and used a two foam squares to pop up her head, adding just a bit of dimension.

Stamping Bella Thanksgiving Oddball (close-up)

Copic markers – BG11, E000, E00, E04, E07, E09, E11, E21, E30, E31, E35, E37, E40, E41, E43, G29, G43, G46, W1, W2, W3, W5, W7, W9, 100, Y21, YR23

I stamped the sentiment onto a shortened tag then added a few die-cut leaves and Chocolate Pearls.

Stamping Bella Curvy Girl and her Tree

Copic markers – BG11, BG13, C00, C1, E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, E31, E35, E37, G29, R29, R83, R85, R89, RV32, Y21, YG03, YG05, YG09, YR23

Also, this week in Instagram I posted the above card using new Curvy Girl and her Tree, Holiday Sentiment set, Merry & Bright patterned paper and my fave little stapler, Tiny Attacher.

Hey Hey, Cute Tea

Hello everyone! Have you seen Paper Smoocheslatest release? Such a fab assortment of stamps and dies.  There are two new stencils as well.

Paper Smooches Caffeinated, Caffeinated Icons, Caffeinated Two

Here I’ve used new Caffeinated stamp set with Caffeinated Icons dies, Caffeinated Two which is a smaller coordinating sentiment set, and Stackers stencil.

I stamped the tea image onto X-Press It Blending Card then masked around the bottom edges of the cup before stamping the first boba. I then masked each boba before stamping the next. Highlights were created using a Kirarina Wink White Pearl pen.

Paper Smooches Caffeinated, Caffeinated Icons, Caffeinated Two (close-up)

Copic markers – BG10, C4, C5, C7, C9, R83, R85, RV32, YG01, YG03, YG09

After coloring the tea with markers (listed below close-up photo), I used Jane Davenport/Spellbinders’s Birthday Suit pastel pallette to lightly add color to the cheeks. I find the pastels so much easier compared to markers when adding a bit of cheek color. I use a small foam eyeshadow applicator.

blended a bit of a pink background onto my card base then used new Stackers stencil to add in the hearts. I used my Kirarina Wink white pen again to add a little scattering of dots. Two scrap pieces of patterned paper were adhered, then I popped up the tea image on foam squares. I stamped “hey” (from Caffeinated) twice and then aligned “cute” and “tea” (from Caffeinated Two) with my MISTI.

As a thank you to Paper Smooches customers, you can get another brand new stamp set FREE with any $60 retail order. This month’s TAM (Thanks a Million) set is new Spreading Joy sentiment set.  No code is needed. The set will automatically be added to your order (although it will not show on your order receipt).

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

No Line Coloring with a New Bundle Girl

Hi everyone! Today I decided to work on one of my favorite but most challenging techniques, no line coloring with Copic markers.

Stamping Bella Bundle Girl in a Pile of Leaves

I stamped Stamping Bella‘s new Bundle Girl in a Pile of Leaves onto X-Press It Blending Card using a light tan ink then colored with markers. I love the no line look.  I’m hoping to improve my skills with more practice.  🙂

After stamping the main portion of the image, I added extra leaves by inking only the leaf portions of the image.

Stamping Bella Bundle Girl in a Pile of Leaves (close-up)

Copic markers – BG70, BG72, BG99, E000, E00, E04, E07, E08, E09, E11, E21, E30, E31, E33, E35, G21, G24, G29, G85, W00, W1, W2, W3, Y21, YR09, YR18, YR23, YR68

I like the non-traditional blue in Queen & Company‘s Happy Harvest patterned paper and used that color for some of the leaves. It’s unexpected but I think it works nicely with the paper.

You can find all of Stamping Bella’s adorable new Bundle Girls here and the entire latest release here.

Stamping Bella’s October Stamp of the Month

Hello everyone! It’s hard to believe it’s Friday again already. The days are just flying by. 🙂

This week the Stamping Bella team is highlighting designs featuring the October Stamp of the Month, Libra Uptown Zodiac Girl. The stamp set, as well as the coordinating die, are both 25% off through October 31st.  You can see all of the
Zodiac girls here.

Stamping Bella Libra Uptown Zodiac Girl

Included in each Zodiac stamp set is an (amazing) image, the name of the zodiac sign and a text block describing characteristics of that sign. I used the Libra text block to create a bit of a background. Over the text background, I created a Libra constellation using stars from Starry Night Cutting Plate. (I did not measure angles so I know the distribution of stars is not perfect but I’m going to say it is close enough.)  🙂 On the left I added a block of Queen & Company‘s Birthday Bash patterned paper.

Stamping Bella Libra Uptown Zodiac Girl (close-up)

Copic markers – B16, B18, B29, E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, E31, E35, E37, R01, R83, R85, RV32, Y21

After stamping onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloring with Copic markers, I die-cut the image and adhered over the card front with pieces of foam squares beneath the scales. The remainder of the image is adhered directly to the card front. I die-cut “happy” from another pattern from Birthday Bash paper pad and stamped a partial sentiment from Birthday Sentiment Set.

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Use a vintage Stamping Bella image, meaning one NOT from the current/most recent release. (If the image is not listed in the “what’s new” category, then it’s considered “vintage.”) If you’d like, email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog. By doing so, you’ll also be entered to win some Bella Bucks! All challenge details can be found HERE.

The Cutest Grim Reaper

Hello everyone. I was anxious to color more of Stamping Bella‘s new Bundle Girls. I thought I’d start with Grim Reaper.

Stamping Bella Grim Reaper Bundle Girl

I know…theoretically grim reapers are not cute but I think this one is adorable.

Stamping Bella Grim Reaper Bundle Girl (close-up)

Copic markers – BG000, BG10, BV04, BV08, E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, E31, E33, E35, V09

She’s colored with Copic markers (listed above) then popped up over an embossed brick background with a Triangle Toss (stencil) window. In the window, I used Blue Corn, Jelly Donut and Lavendar Glaze inks with Taylored Expressions’ amazing Blender Brushes. I also added in my favorite little bat and spider and a Fall Sentiment.

Note: The brick embossing folder I used is no longer available but this one is close.

You know I’ll be back with more…  🙂   You can find all of Stamping Bella’s latest release HERE.

Paper Smooches/Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Exclusive

Hello everyone!  Today I’m excited to share a new stamp set created by Paper Smooches for Simon Says Stamp’s STAMPtember celebration.  Deco Fall is available only from Simon Says Stamp while supplies last. Once it’s sold out, it will be gone forever.

Deco Fall is a set of solid and patterned fall images and three sentiments (not just for fall)! It’s a lovely set.

I stamped the leaf in fall colors, adding a bit of darker ink around some of the edges. I trimmed a small stick from my yard, wrapped and tied a bit of Copic marker stained string around one side and glued it to the card front. Super easy.

Be sure to stop by Simon Says Stamp to check out Deco Fall as well as other SSS exclusive STAMPtember sets. Many are already sold out.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
