More “Egg”citement from Whipper

Hi!  I’m still working on new Whipper Snapper images and today I have a few more samples of new releases to share.  These totally crack me up!  (hee-hee)

“Egg”spresso Anyone?

              Eggspresso

You’re “Egg”stra Special

         Eggstra Special

And You Crack Me Up!

        You Crack Me Up

I cut little cracks into the paper for this one and added a cracked button I found in my stash.  I also decided it was about time I copy Anna’s banner-style sentiments since everyone else is doing it.  (She’s such a trend-setter.)   🙂

You can see the egg images and sentiments on Whipper Snapper’s website here.

I hate to post and run, but I have a lot to do today including an appointment with an ophthalmologist this afternoon.  (Lovely.) Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

New Whipper Snapper, Part III

We finally got snow!! YAY!  The kids were already off as yesterday was a scheduled teachers workday, but the kids had a blast! Me?  I dried wet coats, snow pants, hats, etc.  Multiple times actually.  I didn’t get much else done, but I do have a couple more new Whipper Snapper samples to share.  🙂

I don’t know what it is about these images.  They are just so easy and FUN to color!

Toad You So!

            WSTYS

This card uses Eli and Frogger and the sentiment “Toad You So!”

Thanks…I needed that!

                WSTINT

And this is Riley with a sentiment from Anna’s Love at Home set.

If you like these “children” images, you can see many more, each one as cute as the next, here.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

More Newly Released Whipper Snapper

Good morning, everyone!  Well, it’s morning while I’m writing this.  Yes, it’s Saturday morning, I’m in my “cave” (a.k.a. “library” that is my stamp room) and I can hear my beautiful children arguing in the family room, calling each other names and tattling to me every 30 seconds.  It’s lovely.  lol)

I have a couple more new Whipper Snapper releases to share today…a bunny and a squirrel.

Hello!

       WSHBLB

I love the little bunny looking up at the ladybug!  There’s another bunny I’ve yet to color, but when I do, I’ll be sure to share!

These tiny, bright prints from K & Company’s “Berry Sweet” mat pad are so cute and perfect for card-making.  I found the pad at Michaels.  I just might go back for another!

Ahhh…Nuts!

       WSAN404

And this was the last of two of my brown Copics.  (I still need to find the refills…and soon.)  I think it was worth it though.  I love this little squirrel and the sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!  (And if you’re at CHA, I’m TOTALLY jealous!!)  🙂

One Sick Chicken

Hi everyone!   TGIF!  🙂   I’ve been having a lot of fun coloring new Whipper Snapper releases and I’ll be sharing some of those over the next several days.

How about a sick chicken? (Even when they’re sick, Anna’s chickens are still cute!)

Get Well Wishes

              WSGWC2R

This little gal is all tucked in, warm and cozy beneath her fluffy blanket.  Hopefully my choice of bright colors will cheer her and not make her more ill.  🙂

I’m off and running this morning!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

A Happy Birthday Mousy

Happy New Year’s Eve, everyone!  No big, crazy plans here.  We’ll just go to a neighbor’s house for a bit, then come home, put the kids to bed and probably fall asleep ourselves before the ball drops.   Exciting, huh?  Our neighbors are fun though so we’re looking forward to it.

No Peeking!

    NPM
I made this for a friend whose birthday is very soon.   Hopefully she won’t mind that this is a mouse since she had several leaving presents in her garage for a while.  This is a nice CUTE mouse though.  I don’t think the ones in her garage were wearing party hats or bearing balloons on her birthday.

NPMCUI used Prismacolor pencils to color this little Whipper Snapper guy, stamping his arms twice so I could color and cut one set to pop up.  I like to add bits of dimension like that when I can.  I pierced a border around the focal image and popped up the focal panel as well as the matted patterned paper piece.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a safe and happy New Year!!

Stamps:  Whipper Snapper Designs “No Peeking”  Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black   Cardstock:  Prism Rose Medium, Nautical Blue Medium, Natural Smooth   Patterned Paper:  My Mind’s Eye 29th Street Market Bright “Original” Dots   Accessories:  Prismacolor Pencils/Weber Turpenoid Natural, ribbon by Stampin’ Up!, piercing template/needle, pop dots.  Card size 5 ¼” x 5 ¼”.

Happy Halloween!

TGIF!  It’s a day of school parties and trick or treating here!  I thought I’d finish off this Halloween season with my favorite cheesy ghost from Whipper Snapper’s Hocus Pocus.

Say CHEESE!

        HHHP2

I added the EEKs to the top portion of the card, the stars behind the ghost and used a marker to randomly stamp only the eyes and grins on the bottom.

The hat is paper-pieced and the arms and tail are left unattached so they pop off the card a bit.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  If you celebrate Halloween, I hope you have a safe one!

Stamps:  Whipper Snapper Designs “Hocus Pocus”  InkAdirondack Pitch Black   Cardstock:  Prism Black, Natural Smooth   Patterned Paper:  Cosmo Cricket Haunted   Accessories:  Copic markers, white string. Card size 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.

EEK!

I don’t know about you but I always have a hard time using small images. What to do besides make a small card?  I thought I’d challenge myself to use a set that has small images but keep the cards standard size.  I used Spooky Expressions by Whipper Snapper Designs.  (I just love Anna‘s sets!)  🙂

Jeepers Creepers

       JPRSCRPRS

This is what I’d do if I saw a bunch of spiders hanging around me (or even one)…grab a broom (or whatever I could get my hands on) and swat them away (actually, I’d beat them to death).  Ick.  I hate spiders.  I’m fine with them outside as long as they aren’t near me. But in the house…that’s something else.

Black Cats Prowl

       BCP2

I’m not quite sure why, but I like this card better than the first.  (I put the other one first because everyone else in my house liked that one better. **shrugging shoulders**)

BCPCU3You can see in this close-up that I actually masked part of the tail so it looks like the tail loops through the ‘o’.  (It’s a detail that I’m sure noone else would ever notice, but *I* know it’s there and I like it.)  🙂

So which do you like better?  The ghost or the cat?

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Wish Big!

Hi everyone!  I hope you’re having a great day!  Mine….could be better.  We had an extra-early morning for swim team pictures, we’re almost in the car and my daughter gets sick…in the garage…which, I suppose, is better than in the car but still…ewwww.  It seems to be one of those wacky things where she’s sick with a 101.5 fever, then for a while she’s perfectly normal with no fever.  Now we’re back to 101.  And let me tell you, when she’s sick, she is NOT a pleasant child.  My son, on the other hand, perfect angel when he isn’t feeling well.  Anyway, my neighbor was kind enough to take my son to the pool so I’ve been home with a little cranky sick girl.  Hopefully, it will be a short-lived thing and she’ll be back to normal soon.

Wish Big

WBT

This is a birthday card I made for a good friend.  She likes things big and colorful so I made this 5″ square card using Basic Grey’s new Cupcake paper pad and Whipper Snapper’s Happy Birthday set designed by Anna Wight.  (You can check out Anna’s sets here.)

The paper-pieced gift is adhered to the white panel using pop dots.  (I used a craft knife to cut inside the bow loops.)  The balloons are paper-pieced as well with the long center balloon raised on pop dots.

Ribbon was dyed to match the paper using Copic markers.  And I seem to want to zig-zag around everything lately. lol. Oh well.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Have a great day!

Let there be Cake

Hey there!  Here’s another sample using Anna’s fun new Whipper Snapper set, Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday

HBAWS

I had some scraps of Imaginisce “For Peep’s Sake” paper lying around and I just couldn’t toss them.  Even though it’s spring/Easter/chicky-type paper, I thought I’d get the most of it and use just the backs of the scraps here.

I colored the cake and candles with Copic markers then added a dot of white gel pen to the center of each dot on the cake.  (Card size 5″ x 5″.)

I’ve really enjoyed designing with Anna’s stamps these last two months.  I wish I could do another!  But two-month runs are fun and it keeps everything fresh.  Thanks, Anna, for letting me play!!  (And for making me laugh for an entire day, you funny, funny girl!)  Whew! lol.

Thanks so much for visiting!  Have a great day!

More Fun with “Happy Birthday”

WOOHOO! It’s Friday!  🙂  So I mentioned before that I was finally working on my very own stamp room…  I’ve had some new furniture in “my room” but I haven’t been able to use any of it because I’m missing a piece and everything ties into this missing corner piece.   But it’s coming tomorrow!! I’m SO excited!!  I’ll finally be able to start loading up those shelves with my stamp stuff.  The bad news is that my project table is on backorder (said with distaste) until JUNE!  ACK!  Looks like I’ll be dragging in a folding table to use in the meantime.  But I’m just so excited to finally be getting my very own room!  No more feeling guilty (or, I suppose “embarassed”  is more appropriate) about the HUGE mess I make everyday in my dining room.  YAY!  So, in the meantime, I’m “wishing big” that my table comes early!

Wish Big

WBAWS2This is my second favorite card I’ve made using Anna’s new Happy Birthday set from Whipper Snapper Designs.

I masked off the poof on top of the hat then stamped the hat upside down.  After masking the top of the hat (which is now actually the top of an ice cream cone), I stamped the balloons (which are actually scoops of ice cream), masking them also as I went along.

I colored the images with Copic markers then added paper glaze to the ice cream scoops.  (And yes, Aleene’s Paper Glaze is the same as Crystal Effects…you can see it here.)

That’s about it! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a fabulous Friday!
