Stamping Bella’s April Stamp of the Month and More No-Line Coloring

Happy Friday everyone! Today I’m sharing a sample using Stamping Bella‘s April Stamp of the Month as well as another go at no-line coloring.  🙂

Stamping Bella Balloonabella 2.0

Through April 30, Balloonabella is available for 25% off.  The sentiment is included with the image, and the coordinating die is 25% off as well.

Stamping Bella Balloonabella 2.0 (close-up)

Copic markers – C00, C0, C1, C2, C3, E00, E11, E21, E31, E35, E37, R21, R83, R85, RV0000, RV11, RV32, Y21

She was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers (listed above).

Tip regarding the sketch marker list on the Dick Blick website:  Markers are listed alphabetically by name. I know NONE of the names and dreaded looking through that list to find the specific numbers I wanted to purchase. BUT…lo and behold, if you click on the heading for the number column, POOF! All of the markers are listed numerically. Maybe I’m the last to know, but I think I heard angels singing when I discovered I could do that. Haha.

I layered Balloonabella atop Queen & Company‘s pretty Happy Hearts patterned paper.

Stamping Bella Garden Girl Lily of the Valley

Also this week, I posted the above card on Instagram using Tiny Townie Garden Girl Lily of the Valley. I want to improve my no-line coloring so I’m forcing myself to give it a whirl more often.

Stamping Bella Garden Girl Lily of the Valley (close-up)

Copic markers – BG70, E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, E31, E35, E37, E47, G29, R20, V91, V93, V95, W00, W0, W1, Y21, YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97, YG99

I stamped the image using a very light gray ink then colored with markers. The sentiment is from Garden Girl Flower Sentiments. To coordinate with the colors in the image, I added strips of Queen & Company‘s Simple Stripes patterned paper.

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Use a vintage Stamping Bella image, meaning one NOT from the current/most recent release. (If the image is not listed in the “what’s new” category, then it’s considered “vintage.”) If you’d like, email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog. By doing so, you’ll also be entered to win some Bella Bucks! All challenge details can be found HERE.

A Big Birthday Bouquet (stamping bella)

Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping in! Today I’m sharing a card from Stamping Bella using one of my favorite images, Tiny Townie with a Bouquet.  (I have a lot of “favorites” from Stamping Bella.)

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie with a Bouquet

I adore this tiny girl upholding her gigantic bouquet of flowers.

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie with a Bouquet (close-up)

Copic markers – B60, BG10, BG11, E00, E04, E11, E21, E30, E31, E35, E37, G94, G99, R21, W00, W1, W3, V20, V22, V25, V28, Y21, YG03, YR000, YR0000

As always, she was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers (listed above). With the bazillion cards I have, I never seem to have enough birthday cards so today, I have a birthday card!  🙂  Sentiment is from Edna Blows a Kiss Sign Base. (Also used: Taylored Expressions Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate, Paper Smooches Inchies dies.)

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE

Use any current Stamping Bella image. (No restrictions.) If you’d like, email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog. By doing so, you’ll also be entered to win some Bella Bucks! All challenge details can be found HERE.

No Line Coloring with Copic Markers

I’ve always admired folks who could (seemingly easily) tackle the no line coloring method using Copic markers. I tried in the past and it was soooo hard. But…I’ve been doing a few of Kit and Clowder‘s monthly coloring classes and Alyce always encourages everyone to use the image with lighter lines for the class. At first, I thought “Oh heck no.” But then I tried.  And I liked it!

Stamping Bella Lacey has a Letter (no line coloring)

I used the no line coloring method on the second card in THIS post and decided to do it again using Stamping Bella‘s Tiny Townie Lacey has a Letter. If you haven’t tried one of Alyce’s classes, I highly recommend it. The US cost is only about $15 a month. The price includes two classes, access to other helpful info, and you can cancel at any time. I *love* it.

Stamping Bella Lacey has a Letter (no line coloring) close-up

Copic markers – E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, E31, E35, E37, E47, R20, R39, R85, R89, RV11, RV32, W00, W0, W1, W2, Y21

I stamped the image using very light gray ink onto X-Press It Blending Card then colored with Copic markers (listed above). Working one section at a time, I laid down a base of the lightest shade then added the darkest shadows, working my way back up to the lightest. I’m getting more confident so I’m sure you’ll be seeing more.

I also used Stamping Bella’s Happy Sentiment die with “mail” stamped in toffee ink.

Thanks for visiting today!  🙂

Water you up to? (paper smooches)

Water YOU up to? Seriously, I’d like to know. Do you do crafts other than card making? I’ve recently gone back to sketching. My plan is to eventually tip my hand into mixed media. I want to sketch, paint, and get messy. I’ve been slowly buying supplying. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve picked up a pencil and just sketched, and I have pretty much zero experience with mixed media so it’s rather uncomfortable for me.  But I’m determined to do it. Maybe I’ll share some sketches here soon.

Paper Smooches Splash

For today I’m sharing a card using one of Paper Smooches‘ latest releases, Splash with Splash Icons dies.

Paper Smooches Splash (close-up)

Copic markers – B0000, B000, B00, E30, E31, E33, E35, E42, E43, E44, E49, E50, E53, Y0000, Y000

I colored the images and background using Copic markers (listed above) onto X-Press It Blending Card. When I adhered the beaver, I placed a clear foam square behind his head and glued the log portion right to the paper, creating just a bit of dimension.

You can find all of Paper Smooches’ latest products HERE. New release coming soon! Thanks for visiting today!

Dream Big, Little Mermaid (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! It’s time for another challenge with Stamping Bella!

This week we were to create using the the photo found at the bottom of this post as inspiration.  I used cute Tiny Townie Mermaid Set with an Under the Sea sentiment.

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Mermaid Set and Under the Sea Sentiment

I first sponged a bit of color into the background using Peacock Feathers and Tattered Rose Distress Inks. The seaweed and mermaid were stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers (listed below). Once colored, I added a scattering of dots using my Colorless Blender and then a Kirarina Wink White Pearl pen.

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Mermaid Set and Under the Sea Sentiment (close-up)

Copic markers – BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18, E000, E00, E04, E11, E15, E18, E21, E23, E27, E30, E55, G46, R00, R20, R39, Y21, YG03, YG06, YG09, YR23, Colorless Blender; Kirarina Wink White Pearl glitter pen

After adhering the images (mermaid applied using Kool Tak Clear Foam Squares), I added a bit of sparkle using Queen & Company‘s new Jelly Gems in green and yellow.

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Dawn Loves her Doggie - no line coloring

Also, this week on Instagram, I posted the above card using Tiny Townie Dawn Loves her Doggie.

I used no-line coloring, stamping the image in a very light gray and then coloring with Copic markers.
