Hello, Dandy Lion (new from Stamping Bella)

Hello everyone! It’s the final day of Spring previews featuring Stamping Bella‘s latest release.  All images will be available for sale tomorrow morning and I can’t wait! I haven’t seen everything so I’m as excited as some of you!

Today the team is featuring designs using a new character, Dandy Lion. I think you’ll like him!

All of my samples were stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers.

Hello Dandy Lion

Copic markers – E30, E31, E71, R000, W1, W3

I *love* Hello Dandy Lion! This particular image is my absolute favorite of the bunch (from those I’ve seen so far).  I stamped him and his coordinating sentiment, colored his face and hands with markers, then stamped again onto a page ripped from an old book. (I got the book from a freebie bin at a used book store. One old encyclopedia is enough to last a lifetime!) I then very carefully cut out his mane, glued over the first stamped image and added shading with Copic markers. I also added white highlights to the “bubbles” using a Kirarina Wink White Pearl pen.

Dandy Lion Protector of Hearts

Next is Dandy Lion Protector of Hearts.  After coloring, I added a bit of Diamond Stickles to his wings, adhered a couple of Paper Smooches small clouds and matted over Queen & Company‘s Simple Stripes patterned paper.

Out of This World Dandy

With Out of This World Dandy I colored onto kraft paper and added white highlights with my White Pearl pen.

Knitting Dandy

My Knitting Dandy are a little on the wild side with their green and purple manes. I used patterned paper from Paper Smooches and epoxy dots from Queen & Company.

Bubble Dandy

Last of my samples is Bubble Dandy. I added Diamond Stickles to the bubbles, a tiny heart by the sentiment and then matted onto Queen & Company‘s pretty new Garden Party patterned paper.
