Oh, baby (simon says stamp)

Hi everyone! Today I did a bit of playing around with Oh, Baby, one of Simon Says Stamp‘s latest releases. I wanted to use the cute stork and sack…and I wanted to use the line with the tiny clothes…so I made two cards.  🙂

Simon Says Stamp "Oh, Baby"

I first created a sky by using a Cloud Border die-cut, moving the strip down and tipping left then right as I sponged. I used a slightly darker blue ink at the top and a lighter one at the bottom.

The cute tiny stars are one of the new toppings from Queen & Company‘s latest (and greatest, IMO) kits, Love Jar.  (The kit also includes tiny wood hearts and circles among other toppings.) To create a bit of dimension, I placed clear foam squares beneath the stork’s wings and the bottom of the sack with the other areas glued down to the clouds.  (That stork…)

On my second card, I created another sky background then stamped the line. The tiny clothes were stamped on white card stock with the shirt and bib stamped again onto Queen & Company’s Flirty Florals patterned paper (which is also included in the Love Jar kit).

I die-cut all the tiny clothes using coordinating Oh, Baby wafer dies, then also die-cut the Oh, Baby Words sentiment. Congratulations was stamped in white ink then white embossed.

Thanks so much for visiting today! (I hope it’s warm where you are. It certainly is NOT here!!)

Follow the Bunny (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! TGIF! This week the Stamping Bella team is designing with the April Stamp of the Month, Chocolate Bunnies. The set includes three bunnies and a cute sentiment, 20% off through April 30.  🙂

I stamped the various bunnies across the panel then die-cut and popped up the larger bunny on clear foam squares. The bit of pink string was colored with a Copic marker.

(If the image is not listed in the “what’s new” category, then it’s considered “vintage.”)  If you’d like, email your card to [email protected] by next Thursday to be featured on the SB blog. By doing so, you’ll also be entered to win some Bella Bucks! All challenge details can be found HERE.

Without Change (stamping bella)

Hi everyone! It’s still cold….and I’m still dreaming of spring. So in the meantime, I’ll just color spring-like images.  Today I have Brianna the Butterfly by Stamping Bella.  🙂

Stamping Bella Brianna the Butterfly

I cut an opening from a gingham rectangle then stamped the flowers from Garden Backdrop in the two left corners. Brianna was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card, colored with markers then fussy cut.

I added sparkle to her wings using a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush, and dots to the background and dress using white, pink and orange Kirarina Wink pens. (The sentiment is from Butterfly Sentiments.)

Thanks for visiting today! Crossing my fingers for warmer weather later this week!  🙂

This Calls for a Toast (Paper Smooches)

Hello, everyone! I’m just back from a wonderful (but way too short) vacation in Tucson. I just love the desert. So very much. Here are a few pics I took along the way. (Click to enlargen.) It’s so pretty. ♥  I miss it, and family, already.

So for now, back to reality. *sigh*  🙂

Today I’m sharing a card using Wake Up by Paper Smooches.

I stamped all images onto X-Press It Blending Card then die-cut each using Wake Up Icons dies.

I colored with Copic markers then used a Kirarina Wink White Pearl pen to add dots to the jam lid. After cutting a slit in the toaster, I inserted the toast and adhered with Kool Tak clear foam squares over a gingham circle.
