Going Green…literally

Happy Thursday!  Today’s WT Challenge at SCS is “going green.”  We can recycle, reuse, anything of that nature.  Or with St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, we can take that literally and use green on our card or project (like I did here).

{make a wish}

I used Springtime Lily by Stampavie (purchased from All That Scraps), coloring her with Copics to match my patterned paper.  I  “rearranged” the striped patterns a bit to MAW3CUaccommodate my sentiment. (The stitching helps to hide the cut line.)  I also added some brads over the circles along the top edge within the scallops.

The center “lace” piece was cut out from additional paper and stitched at the top edge to add just a bit more interest.

My little clovers and butterfly were cut out and popped up by placing a tiny drop of glue only in the centers and bending up the edges.

MAWIFAnd I used a scrap strip from the patterned paper to quickly and very easily finish the inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!
