It’s Faux Cool!

Today’s chick challenge is a cool one, faux cool that is.  We’re playing with faux snow.  (You can check out the challenge forum here if you’d like to play too!)

Due to my choice of papers I wanted a clear or white snow.  (Some have a blue, purple or pink shine.  I didn’t want that for this card.)

Warm Greetings

I first tried UTEE for the snow (without heat setting).  I got that idea from Julia but I obviously have a different brand than what she used because once I got it on there, I didn’t like it at all.  (Hers was gorgeous.)  I found mine to have a bit too much of an ivory tone and not so many chunky, light-reflective pieces.  Then I remembered that a while back, my friend, Jody, made me buy this huge tub of Diamond Dust.  Yes, she made me buy it.  She’s like that, you know.  😉  But, now I’m so glad I had it on hand, so thanks, Jody! 🙂  (hee, hee, hee)

I glued some Diamond Dust over the UTEE and then added some dots of dust into the snowflake centers on the background for a bit more sparkle…which, of course, you can’t see very well in this photo but it looks very sparkly in person.

Be sure to check out these other CHF designers to see their faux cool projects!
